Today is #999Day and we'd like to pay tribute to all emergency service workers.
This summer, as firefighters tackled unprecedented wildfires, our emergency service colleagues worked side by side, supporting our members on the incident ground and protecting the public.

Imagine fighting a wildfire under the blazing sun, with ground temperatures of 100°C, while wearing a ski jacket.
Dorset and Wiltshire firefighters are at risk of severe heat exhaustion, responding to the New Forest fire in their heavy, padded structural PPE.

Today is the 13th anniversary of losing our friend and brother Stephen Hunt.

Nine years on from the Grenfell Tower fire, we remember the 72 people who lost their lives and stand with the bereaved families, survivors and the North Kensington community.
Grenfell was a preventable tragedy. The Inquiry exposed systemic failures across government, regulators and industry. Yet, nine years later, no one has been held accountable.
As Grenfell Tower is dismantled and communities continue to fight for justice, the lessons of Grenfell must never be forgotten. Safe homes are a right, not a privilege.
