The momentum surrounding quantum computing is unprecedented. With D-Wave, we're building an innovation ecosystem to accelerate research, workforce development, manufacturing & real-world quantum applications – positioning #FAU, Boca & Florida at the forefront of the quantum era.
Today, D-Wave announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for $100 million of proposed funding under the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act, which is administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce. In connection with executing final award documents, the U.S. government would obtain an equity stake in the company. The LOI marks a significant endorsement by the U.S. government of D-Wave’s annealing and gate-model quantum computing technologies and their potential impact on the U.S. economy. We are honored to be chosen to collaborate with @CommerceGov to advance domestic manufacturing of quantum technologies.
