The strength of a neutrino 💪
Recently, the @FASERexperiment at CERN measured high-energy neutrino interaction strength.
At the annual @_Moriond_ conference, the FASER collaboration presented a measurement of the interaction strength of electron neutrinos (νe) and muon neutrinos (νμ).
The energies of the neutrinos were found to be in a range between 500 and 1700 GeV. The interaction strength of neutrinos had never previously been measured in this energy range.

Today, the LHC receives the first stable beams of 2024 – a few short weeks after the first #BeamTime of the year and after several weeks of getting the #LHC ready for chapter three of #LHCRun3.
While we appreciate the excitement for the solar eclipse next Monday, CERN’s accelerator complex moves on a different schedule than the geometry of the Universe.😉
