this has been bothering me for a bit. i love apple products but phasing out the USB port/head when they’ve managed to get the whole world to accommodate — airplanes, hotels, devices etc. it feels particularly ungenerous. (i know they’ve always done versions of this… but)

Having to epi your child isn't a sign of failure. It doesn't reflect negatively on you or indicate that you didn't do enough to keep him/her safe. Quite the contrary: YOU ACTED WHEN NEEDED.
