I’ve decided to stop focusing on my own homelessness situation. I’ll find a way to manage, hopefully. But while writing my previous posts, I realised something: I am not the only one going through this. I’m speaking specifically to the 1990s generation — people in their late 20s and 30s who feel lost, overlooked and increasingly squeezed financially. With all due respect to every generation, I’m speaking about the 1990s generation because I’m part of it, and I’m living through it myself. Many of us are trying to work, build businesses, pay taxes, find somewhere affordable to live, build relationships, get married and start families — while the cost of living keeps moving further away from our incomes. Just look at fuel. Imagine being in your 30s and asking yourself: if things are already this expensive today, how are we supposed to live for the next 10 years? That question genuinely worries me. To everyone from the 1990s generation in the UK: do you feel the same? Are we actually being heard? I want people from our generation — journalists, creators, lawyers, politicians and ordinary working people — to start talking about this seriously. @sophiasgaler @gkbarry @GraceBeverley @max_balegde @munyachawawa @HumanRightsCtte @EHRC @LSHumanRights @TheLawSociety @SkyNews @BBCNews @Channel4News @itvnews This isn’t about blaming another generation or attacking migrants. It’s about asking what future our generation is being given. 🇬🇧💔 #Generation90s #1990sGeneration #HousingCrisis #CostOfLiving #UK #London #BritishCitizens #AffordableHousing #Taxpayers

I believe in treating people with respect, even when they show none in return. I won’t waste my time arguing with accounts that resort to mockery, insults and personal assumptions instead of a meaningful discussion. I know who I am, and I don’t need to prove myself to strangers on the internet. My time is better spent focusing on real issues and trying to make a positive difference. Not every comment deserves a response, and not every argument deserves your time. Sometimes, the best response is to move on. 🇬🇧❤️

And just think about this for a second… The current National Living Wage for someone aged 21+ is £12.71 an hour. If you work 40 hours a week, that’s around £26,437 a year before tax. After Income Tax and National Insurance, you’re left with roughly £22,554 a year — around £1,880 a month. Now imagine your rent is £1,500 a month for just ONE ROOM. That means around 80% of your entire take-home pay goes on rent alone. You’re left with roughly £380 a month for food, transport, electricity, water, phone bills, clothes and everything else. And this is before we even talk about rising prices. Imagine doing that for 10 years. £1,500 × 12 × 10 = £180,000 That’s £180,000 just in rent for one room over 10 years, assuming the rent magically stays at £1,500 for the entire decade and never increases. Seriously… how are people supposed to build a future, save for a home, get married, have children or simply live a decent life like this? 💔 This is exactly why we need to start talking seriously about the housing crisis and the future of the 1990s generation. @ukhomeoffice @CityWestminster @HumanRightsCtte @EHRC @LSHumanRights @TheLawSociety @AdamWagner1 @ReaMurray @SkyNews @BBCNews @Channel4News @itvnews This isn’t about luxury. It’s about whether ordinary working people can afford to live. 🇬🇧 #Generation90s #HousingCrisis #CostOfLiving #London #AffordableHousing #BritishCitizens #Taxpayers #UK

How much longer are we expected to live like this? I’m speaking specifically about the 1990s generation. We are watching our situation get worse and worse housing becoming unaffordable, the cost of living rising, homelessness increasing, and many young adults struggling to build a secure future despite working, paying taxes and contributing to society. Where is the plan for our generation? Where is the support? Where is the affordable housing and the opportunity to build a decent life? We cannot keep ignoring an entire generation until people reach breaking point. This is not about being against migrants or refugees. It is about asking for British citizens and our generation to be heard too. How much longer? 🇬🇧💔 @ukhomeoffice @CityWestminster @MPSWestminster @EHRC @amnesty @amnestypress @hrw @LSHumanRights @TheLawSociety @DLHousingLaw @DoughtyStreet @DoughtyStPublic @AdamWagner1 @ReaMurray @SkyNews @Channel4News @itvnews @BBCNews #Generation90s #BritishCitizens #HousingCrisis #CostOfLiving #Homelessness #UK #London #HumanRights #BritishPublic

My first contact for help was at 4:30am. Look at what time London Ambulance Service finally called me back 6:56am. Nearly 2.5 hours later. This is the level of response I received when I was asking for help. Is this acceptable in 2026? @CityWestminster @MPSWestminster @ldn_ambulance @NHSuk @EqualityHumanRights #explore #London #UK #British I’m asking for transparency and accountability.

This happened to a 30 old British citizen. Thankfully, I am financially stable enough to have some savings, and I am trying to build my own business. But what about someone who has no money and is in an even worse situation? Where are they supposed to go? I contacted numerous hotels and hostels, but nobody would take me. Eventually I found an extremely poor hostel. I arrived around 6am and managed to sleep for only 3 hours because of construction work next to the accommodation. I was then required to leave at 11am. I have limited money and I am trying to use it to build my company. I simply cannot afford to spend £60+ every single day on a hostel or hotel. Today, I genuinely don’t know where I am supposed to sleep. I am asking for help, accountability and a proper response. @CityWestminster @MPSWestminster @MetCC @GOVUK @NHSuk @ldn_ambulance @EHRC @Shelter @ShelterLDN @crisis_uk @BBCLondonNews @BBCNews @itvnews #Homelessness #HousingCrisis #Westminster #London #Housing #HumanRights #BritishCitizen

I respect refugees and people in need. I simply ask: why do vulnerable British citizens feel forgotten, despite contributing and paying taxes? @CityWestminster @metpoliceuk @NHSuk @EHRC @Shelter @BBCNews @LBC #HumanRights #Equality

I feel deeply saddened and abandoned by the police, ambulance services and Westminster Council. In 2026, a 30 year old British citizen, British since birth, cannot find even one safe place to sleep.💔 @CityWestminster @metpoliceuk @NHSuk @EHRC @BBCNews @LBC #HumanRights #Equality

I have contacted many hotels and hostels. Some don’t answer, while those who do say they are fully booked or that check-in is only at 3pm. I just need somewhere safe to sleep tonight. 💔 @CityWestminster @EHRC @London @hrw @BBCNews @LBC #HumanRights #Homelessness #Equality #UK

I am in my own country Britain, a country built on humanity, human rights and equality. Yet I cannot find even a temporary safe place to sleep for just one night. I am a human being. 💔💔 @CityWestminster @EHRC @BBCNews @LBC #HumanRights #Equality #UK #London #explore

At 4:21am I called Westminster Housing Solutions because I’m homeless with nowhere to sleep. They gave me a charity number closed until 9am. When I called back, they ended the call. I’m outside, cold, and my physical & mental health are at risk. @CityWestminster @NHSuk @LBC #NHS
