‘Meshcoring’ thoughts so far: My repeater node… uptime 53 trouble-free days. Its solar is holding up on full power even on cloudy days. There are 200 repeaters in Paris. Seemingly getting into every nook and cranny. But few in-to/out-of this ‘island’. Lots of traffic on the uncrypted channels. Hundreds of boring messages. Too many. Usually of no interest and I’m considering leaving these # groups. My companion node… mostly now using the GAT562 from home. Hopping into the nearby repeaters means I can have Tx Power = 0 (measures 40dBm). So batteries last about 2 weeks. Basically low maintenance easy peazy squeezy of the lemon. If Spanish is the distant cousin, then Galician is a close brother. Very similar to Portuguese. Actually, written text is near identical. Great for me as my Spanish is absolute pants:-/ In fact there is a campaign here to promote the spoken interaction between Galicia and Portugal. Stopped by a reservoir in IN53. First time digi has been activated here apparently, so FT8 with SSB/CW later. The hitchhiking flies have now camped out inside the car and are sneaky’besterds.
