Cowboy Space just announced Stampede, its plan for AI compute in orbit.
20,000 satellites at 1 MW each, adding up to 20 GW at full build. Each one carries just under 800 Nvidia GPUs, and the rocket's upper stage is the satellite itself.
The company is led by Robinhood co-founder Baiju Bhatt and raised $275M at a $2B valuation in May.
Launch is targeted for 2028.

It’s a beautiful day to set sail with the next pieces of Neutron flight hardware to Launch Complex 3.
Earlier today we sent Neutron’s Stage 2 and Thrust Module out of the Neutron Factory and onto a barge for transport through Chesapeake Bay to Wallops Island in Virginia.
Once it arrives, the Thrust Module will go straight onto the launch mount at LC-3 for check outs and the beginning of wider systems demonstrations including integrated fluids tests and module-to-launch-mount interface checkouts. With no strongback on the launch mount by design, Neutron’s Thrust Module is the rocket’s only physical interface to the launch pad, which this upcoming test campaign enables us to test early before the entire vehicle comes together.

$RKLB IS ACTUALLY HELPING ITS CUSTOMERS FINANCE THEIR ROCKET LAUNCHES
Some things I find interesting in its Q2 earnings:
- Rocket Lab reported $32.2M in outstanding customer-financing receivables as of Jun 30, up from $22.9M at the end of 2025
- certain commercial customers can finance launch milestone payments
- interest rates are fixed at 9.5%, 10.8%, or 12.6%
Is this a smart way to secure more contracts?

🚨 $RKLB HAS UNTIL THIS FRIDAY TO RESPOND TO FCC CONCERNS RAISED BY $SPCX AND $ASTS PARTNER LIGADO
Both companies filed letters questioning Iridium's conduct toward competitors:
- SpaceX raised concerns about Iridium's demands for shared Ka-band spectrum coordination
- Ligado accused Iridium of using FCC proceedings to delay competing satellite services
Upcoming FCC deadlines:
- Oct 30: Responses due
- Nov 9: Replies due
Neither filed a formal petition to deny the acquisition. Rocket Lab and Iridium can respond, but are not required to.
Interesting to see if they address these allegations.

Good Saturday Morning!
An FAA NOTAM has been issued for a 135 ft crane at the lagoon this Monday, Oct 26, from 7 AM to 3 PM ET. Looks like Monday could be the big day!
The truck and blue transport trailer have been moved to the Complex. One of the metal structures seen in the yard recently has been loaded onto the trailer.

Crews were working today in preparation for moving hardware to Wallops. A crane is now on-site at the lagoon and the blue transport trailer has been hooked to the truck.
Given the pace of work, it didn't seem like they would be loading anything today. I'll be checking back over the next few days.
While in the area, I did see work being done on the thrust module stand and caught some interesting hardware moving from one area of the facility to another.
