Hamilton didn’t have the proper info to make informed decisions
His communications team giving him the wrong info leading to his decision to stay out
Team has more info but if the can’t communicate the correct info in a timely manner, driver is making misinformed decisions
This excuse by any team is useless. You have the data. Use it. Instruct your driver the best course of action to optimize their results. If there’s pushback let them suffer the consequences but trying to PR you way out of it by saying it’s all on him is cowardly
🚨| Fred Vasseur: "It was a total decision by Lewis, we called him in but he didn't come back in. A great shame because it would have been P3. I'm disappointed because we could have had two on the podium instead we're sixth. We'll talk to him about it but overall they did a good job."

If it was his call, then explain why he was literally begging Ferrari for a pit stop and a strategy before the VSC? The only time he said he didn’t want to pit was AFTER the VSC. So, if it was his plan, why was he begging for a strategy on the radio?
Make it sense or does it just not fit your narrative?
