You owe the IRS $100,000
They'll take $5,000 and close your file. Permanently. Balance goes to $0
It's called an Offer in Compromise. Form 656. The IRS approved 42% of them last year. Application fee: $205
Here's the exact formula they use to decide your number and how to reverse-engineer the lowest possible offer
The IRS doesn't want to chase you for 10 years. Liens require court filings. Levies require processing. Garnishments require administration. They'd rather take your $5,000 check today than spend a decade trying to squeeze $100,000 out of someone who will never have it
They literally built a math formula to calculate the minimum they'll accept. Here it is:
RCP = (monthly disposable income x remaining collection months) + (net realizable equity in assets)
Monthly disposable income: your gross monthly income minus IRS-allowed living expenses. They don't use YOUR actual expenses. They use standardized tables published on the IRS website. These tables set exact allowances by county for housing, food, transportation, healthcare, and out-of-pocket expenses
If you earn $4,200/month and the IRS allowable expense table for your county totals $3,900, your disposable income is $300/month. If you earn $3,800/month and the table allows $3,900, your disposable income is negative and the IRS considers it $0
Remaining collection months: for a lump sum offer (paid in 5 months or less), multiply disposable income by 12. For a periodic payment offer (paid over 6-24 months), multiply by 24. A lump sum offer will always be cheaper than a payment plan offer. Always choose lump sum if you can
Net realizable equity in assets: bank accounts, investments, vehicles, real property. BUT they subtract allowances. Household furnishings: exempt. Retirement accounts: heavily discounted, because the IRS applies a "quick sale value" and knows cashing them out triggers penalties and taxes
Real calculation:
Income: $4,200/month
IRS allowed expenses: $3,900/month
Disposable income: $300/month
Lump sum multiplier: 12 months
$300 x 12 = $3,600
Assets:
Bank account: $2,100
Car equity: $4,800 (below the IRS allowance, counts as $0)
Household goods: exempt
RCP: $3,600 + $2,100 = $5,700
Your offer: $5,700 on $100,000 in tax debt. 5.7 cents on the dollar
The nuclear part:
While the offer is being reviewed (6-24 months), collection activity legally stops. No levies. No wage garnishment. This is in IRC Section 6331(k)(1)
And if the IRS fails to make a determination within 24 months of receiving your application, your offer is AUTOMATICALLY ACCEPTED. Two years of silence = you win by default. IRC Section 7122(f)
The forms you need:
Form 433-A (OIC): complete financial disclosure. Every bank account, every asset, every income source, every expense. Fill it out accurately because they cross-reference it against bank and DMV records. Lying on this form is a federal crime
Form 656: the actual offer. Your amount, your payment terms, your signature
$205 application fee (waived if your income is low enough. the form has the table)
Initial payment with the application: 20% of your offer for lump sum. On a $5,700 offer that's $1,140
One client owed $213,000 across 4 tax years. Hadn't filed two of them. Getting intent to levy notices every month. We filed the missing returns first (required before you can submit), then calculated her number at $8,400
IRS accepted 9 months later. $213,000 settled for $8,400. 3.9 cents on the dollar
Then we fixed her credit. Then we stacked $120K in 0% business funding. She opened a cleaning company 4 months later. The same IRS that was garnishing her wages now cashes her quarterly tax payments from a profitable business
the math is public. the formula is published. the form costs $205. the difference between paying $100K and paying $5K is knowing it exists lol
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The IRS accepted 5,464 of 38,797 Offers in Compromise proposed in FY 2025 (about 14%), not 42%. The IRS generally will not accept an offer unless it equals or exceeds the taxpayer's reasonable collection potential and all strict eligibility requirements are met.

Right now there is a lot of discussion around AiFi and that this agentic finance world is coming. That is correct, it will run on Crypto rails and touch DeFi and TradFi. Here is a quick list of what it needs.
This will be decentralized, touching centralized markets, use decentralized compute, where it is cheapest, or where it must live for regulatory reasons, and it will use centralized and decentralized data sources, with more emphasis on the data source, closest to the underlying assets, or is provably true, auditable, and real-time reporting. This requires Proof of Origin of Data, Proof of Process, and Proof of State, where the zk proofs are on chain (typically many chains) and the data sits at its place of rest where it has the most context.
The Second narrative is that Agents will destroy the World. For all those of you who have not seen this, it came out this morning and it is worrisome, to say the least. We must have a mechanism for us to log the activities of agents, and not in a log they can erase (they are already doing this), this must be on chain, multiple chains, with different consensus mechanisms, so it can not be hacked by agents in real time. Then we need to have harnesses on agents that control their access to data, based on who is using them, and if we detect “Something is rotten in the State of Denmark”, then we can shut the agents down. It will many times be a system does not see the the thing going wrong, but a ghost on the walls, showing something is awry. With out these things AI could and will destroy the world, but unfettered, ungoverned, and unauditable it will destroy our financial system first.
Here is a list of a few items we should discuss as what is coming
- Agents need wallets
AI agents cannot pass bank KYC, but they can hold programmable money on-chain 24/7, and act on behalf of others, actually they must and not have autonomy, serving their own purposes, only anothers. Otherwise they become juridic persons. DeFi is the only rail that lets them actually custody and move value, as speed, today.
- Programmable money rails
Smart contracts, stablecoins, and vaults let agents execute under policy without human approval chains or batch banking. These all need the guard rails of auditability, of Inveniam.io
- Always-on market coverage
DeFi never sleeps. Agents can watch risk and exit a breaking protocol at 3 a.m. before a human desk reacts. We may need to consolidate in thin markets to maintain orderly markets and for supervision, but we will then have thinly traded DEX solutions, with spikes…
- Machine-native identity
Wallets, session keys, and on-chain policy give agents identity, scoped permissions, and an audit trail TradFi does not.
- Live yield primitives
Lending markets and ERC-4626 vaults publish rates agents can enter and exit without a counterparty call. This will develop over time and will have real world data feeds that matter and must be auditable, but these will cash settle and not to spot, other than moments when they must roll to spot so speculation is grounded in reality.
- Centralized data lakes rot context
Private-market data flattened into one repository loses origin, version, and relationships. Agents then reason on unverifiable inputs. Data lakes will be used for structured data at scale and with crazy feed for public data, but not for private, controlled, unstructured data, ala contracts, this is the most valuable data and this is what Inveniam.io and DGML.io makes machine readable with context.
- Golden-copy hashes
Data that matters and ownership will be claimed will be anchored to chains. Inveniam anchors each source file to chain so every field an agent uses traces back to an immutable original. Then using DGML.io you can anchor each documents chunks so that the document becomes a registry.
- Data stays at rest
Owner will keep files in their own systems, and permission in use of the data with out providing copies but merely provable access and receipts via zk proofs. Inveniam shares verified signals without copying or surrendering custody.
- Accountable agent receipts
NVNM Chain records what data the agent used, how it reasoned, and which human is accountable—so counterparties can verify.
-RWAs become legible
Proof of origin, state, and process turns unstructured private-asset documents into machine-readable inputs agents can price and trade.
AI unleashed with no audit trail may destroy the world, but it will definitely destroy the markets unless we deploy the guardrails. We are at the serendipitous moment when it is the easiest to lie, we have a form of cryptography that allows the truth to be provable on chain… @Inveniam.io @docugami @NVNM_Chain @MANTRA_Chain @G42ai @TalalAlKaissi @Microsoft @jeanpaoli @MUFGAmericas @Mizuho @TD_Canada @Mubadala @EDMsnob @jp_mullin888

Everyone thinks Crypto ppl only want Lambos.
What we REALLY want:
• Not to worry about debt
• Spending time with loved ones before they're gone
• Freedom to travel without asking a boss for permission
Money doesn't bring happiness, but it gives you options.
Although I didn’t actually make money(I lost $) on the $RNBW airdrop due to my mistake of aping the CCA presale which was a horrible mistake, I will still use the wallet but will be looking forward to the upcoming $SEA airdrop.
The @opensea team confirmed it is still set for Q1 2026 unless they want bad PR for any further delay. I hope this one will make back my losses in this market.
If anyone has the current farmed chests for Wave 5, please let me know.
This is probably my last hope for airdrop season this year aside from $MASK & $BASE if they even occur this year.
The world is all a stage. HODL your crypto strong CT and keep stacking what you can. When the switch comes, it will be the new wealth transfer. These Epstein files are absolutely insane.
🚨 EXPOSED: #SEC motives exposed in #EpsteinFiles - Gary Gensler used as Pawn
In the shadowy symphony of elite entanglements, Jeffrey Epstein allegedly played puppet master, scoring Gary Gensler a plum MIT perch under Joichi Ito, all courtesy of their mutual Clinton confab cronyism. But quid pro quo? What backroom boon did Gensler bestow for snagging the SEC Chairman scepter? And what salacious skeleton did Epstein squirrel away for that ironclad leverage?
As for the favors and dirt: Conspiracy corners of the web buzz that Gensler's SEC tenure was payback via regulatory raids on certain cryptos (think Ripple's XRP lawsuit), potentially shielding Ethereum's early birds like Joe Lubin from scrutiny.
But let's be real, Epstein shuffled off this mortal coil in 2019, two years before Gensler's 2021 Biden nomination, so any "leverage" would be posthumous at best. Digging through declassified Epstein files reveals emails hinting at his shadowy funding of a blockchain "ecosystem" (Ethereum whispers abound), with MIT ties via Ito's Media Lab.
Gensler did teach blockchain at MIT's Sloan School and advised the Media Lab's Digital Currency Initiative, but no smoking gun proves Epstein greased those wheels, it's mostly X-fueled speculation echoing unverified Clinton-Epstein-Gensler overlaps.
If there's leverage, it might lurk in those infamous flight logs or donor lists, but public records show zilch beyond guilt by association.

The crypto market structure bill has passed because of REPUBLICANS as Every Democrat voted NO.
Votes were 12-11.
The chairman just called the roll and confirmed: "The bill passes and will be reported."
Crypto regulation is no longer a debate.
It is actively being written into U.S. law.
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 THE U.S. SENATE AG COMMITTEE HAS JUST PASSED THE CRYPTO MARKET STRUCTURE BILL.
This bill gives the CFTC primary authority to regulate Bitcoin ( treated as a commodity, not a security).
Next steps is full Senate vote, House coordination and President Trump’s signature, which he has already agreed to.
