INCREDIBLE: A police officer pulled over a young Black man near the university. His license had expired.
"Why are you driving on an expired license?" the officer asked.
The young man said softly, "I just lost my night job. What I have left is just enough for food, rent, and bills. I'm from out of state. I'm here alone for university. And I have a job interview this morning."
The officer could have followed the book and impounded the car. He didn't.
He parked his cruiser, helped the young man straighten his tie, got in the passenger seat, and drove him to the interview himself.
They walked in together. The officer apologized for them being late and explained why. They took a selfie. Wished him luck.
He got the job. And later, he got a temporary permit to drive until he could afford to renew his license.
That's what humanity looks like.

This morning at Kisozi Farm, I bid farewell to H.E. Frederieke Quispel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Uganda, who has concluded her tour of duty.
I thanked her for her contribution to strengthening Uganda-Netherlands relations, particularly the shift from traditional aid to trade and investment. I also encouraged her to continue mobilising more investors from the Netherlands and the European Union to take advantage of Uganda’s many opportunities.
I wish her good luck & God’s blessings in her future endeavours.

WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP IN DIPLOMACY TAKES CENTER STAGE IN KAMPALA
Kampala hosted a High-Level Session on Women in Diplomacy and Multilateralism, bringing together diplomats, government officials, international organizations, civil society representatives, and young leaders to discuss advancing women’s participation in diplomacy and global governance. Organized by IGAD in partnership with Inside Diplomacy, the forum highlighted the need for greater representation, gender-responsive leadership, and stronger support systems for women in foreign policy and multilateral institutions.
Speaking at the event, organizers and keynote speakers emphasized the critical role women play in promoting peace, sustainable development, and international cooperation. Delivering remarks on behalf of IGAD Executive Secretary Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, Mrs. Joselyn Bigirwa, Head of Mission of IGAD to Uganda, noted that the challenge is not women’s capability but ensuring institutions recognize and provide opportunities for qualified women to lead. She also underscored IGAD’s commitment to gender inclusion, pointing out that several of its mission offices across the region are headed by women.
