"More or less." The male folded his arms across his chest.

"I take it you need something from me?"

"I never stay in one place for long."

"Nice speaking to you, Wade."

"And still as pleasant as ever.."

"It's been a while."

"I don't always kidnap people, but when I do, it's for a good reason."

Boots propped up over the coffee table, Slade leaned back in his seat, index finger gliding across his phone's screen. He's close to beating his high score in Angry Birds.

A soft hiss passed through his teeth, the archaic mercenary shutting the door behind him after returning from his latest contract. It all began to feel mundane, even his few acquired injuries were dull to sensation.

"Maybe there's a glimmer of potential."

"Excellent, what time is good for you?"

"I've stopped by the city to run a few errands. Are you free for lunch? I'd love to catch up."

He shook his head, light chuckle passing his lips. "Just a hunch, Quinn."

"You haven't changed a bit, I see."
