Drawing Minibeasts 🪲 Today we used sketching pens and graphite to draw directly from insect samples. This was a great opportunity to get up close and personal with our creepy crawly friends, to encourage close and careful observations. @NewSilksAcademy @extoltrust @NSA_Arts

#WorldBookDay reading and celebrating our favourite books! Today I read Mama Panya’s Pancakes to all classes in KS1. We then made spicy pancakes following the recipe from the book 🌶️🥞 Some children even had seconds! ‘A little bit and a little bit more.’ @NewSilksAcademy

When Year 1 have been reading about Paddington eating cake at a party, obviously they needed to go to the party with him to try the cakes. Lots of new descriptive language and an experience to write about! Thank you to Truffle Pig for the free brownies - Paddington and Y1 were very grateful! #EnrichingEducation @extoltrust
