From JCPZ Science Fair to International Stage!🌎 The JCPZ Earth and Beyond Science Fair continues to inspire the next generation of scientists, innovators, and environmental problem-solvers. Two exceptional learners from Roosevelt High School and RW Fick Secondary School advanced from the JCPZ Science Fair to compete at the prestigious Eskom Expo International Science Fair. Among 45 learners who advanced to the regional competition at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University), these young innovators stood out and were ultimately selected as two of only 16 learners to represent the Johannesburg Region at the international event. Congratulations to🥳🥳: ✅ Sanele Methula, who developed a prototype aimed at providing an affordable, eco-friendly solution for extinguishing accidental wildfires in wilderness areas and nature reserves. ✅ Oluwatomisin Akerele, who created the Electrolytic Bio-Trap, an innovative system designed to help manage invasive water hyacinth while improving water quality. Their achievements highlight the power of STEM education, mentorship, and environmental innovation. The JCPZ Earth and Beyond Science Fair is more than a competition; it is a platform that empowers young people to transform scientific ideas into practical solutions for real-world environmental challenges. #JCPZ #EarthAndBeyondScienceFair #STEMEducation #YoungScientists
