Fiat money is what allows a government to make their citizens pay for war without their consent
The Bank of England tried selling “war bonds” back in WW1 to fund the war, but no one wanted them
So the bank printed money and gave it to certain people to buy the bonds and make it look like a huge success that funded the war
Meanwhile inflation sky rocketed
It wasn’t until ~100 years later that this blatant lie came to light and was confirmed
Now in today’s monetary system, we just press a button for the same results
