NEW: WHO Europe Director, Hans Kluge tells me, no government should enforce another national lockdown unless it is absolutely necessary, a last resort
He says damage to other health areas, mental health, domestic violence, schools and cancer treatment is too great – at Brussels, Belgium

A gentle request if people could please cut their bushes/trees back from hanging over onto the pavement. For people who are blind it can be dangerous to get sharp branches in the face. It’s also very difficult for a guide dog to judge height in order to avoid such obstacles. 😎

Remdesivir was developed under Obama administration; you didn't develop it. Its $3k/dose (ie 4 years of what you've paid in taxes) w limited availability.
Also, most ppl dont have access to 10+ docs 24/7.
So yes, we should be afraid of Covid, just as we should be afraid of you.

Robert Kubica tried to rent a car for the Nordschleife, but was told he needed an instructor. So he took Misha Charoudin on a lap in the Apex BMW M4. As expected Robert drove like a mad man, sliding all the time & running the curbs hard.

A group of us across medicine, academia and other areas have come together and sent this letter to the PM and his team.
Professors Heneghan, Gupta and many others - a wide range of voices as this crisis affects everything.
We desperately need a rethink to find a better balance.

Many of the UK’s leading medical experts have come together to voice their concerns against a second lockdown and have sent this detailed letter to the Prime Minister. These experts are not Covid-deniers. They are simply expressing their misgivings about another lockdown.

The briefing showed recent trends in France & Spain & then showed that the UK would have 49k cases per day if they doubled every week.
49k per day is a rate of 73.5 / 100k, i.e. over 3 times current rate in Spain, nearly 6 times France.
Why did they present that scenario?

Almost every village or town in Germany, Denmark, Spain and France has a public use swimming pool and sports and leisure club. This is funded by central government and local taxation. Please retweet if you think that we should do the same in the UK.

God, that performance was just awful. Self-important and pompous. I didn’t always think this, but now I feel a resignation is the only thing that will fix things and restore public trust. Beth Rigby must go.

The rage many ordinary people feel towards Cummings/ Johnson is really a sublimated rage at the inhuman deprivations imposed by a lockdown that many of them also demanded. "If I suffer, so should everyone else" is the tragic logic. This is what lockdown does to us.

I'm speechless that Lord Heseltine has said nothing worthwhile about the deaths of 36, 000 British people, neither has he said anything worthwhile about the catastrophic effects of coronavirus on the British economy. He seems to be more interested in politics rather than people
