In the race to build, launch, and scale, security often gets pushed aside for “more urgent” priorities but one breach is all it takes to undo years of innovation, customer trust, and investor confidence.
The cost of a breach goes beyond dollars, it disrupts operations, damages reputation, and slows growth.
Penetration testing isn’t just about uncovering vulnerabilities, it’s about protecting growth, preserving trust, and ensuring resilience.
If penetration testing feels expensive, consider this:
The average data breach costs over $4.4 million, while a comprehensive pentest averages $15K–$50K, less than 1% of that.
At Exploit Forge, we help organizations identify weaknesses before attackers do, enabling secure, confident growth.
The password problem is not that people don't know what a strong password looks like.
It is that the culture, systems, and enforcement around password hygiene are inconsistent, unmonitored, and untested.
Service accounts set three years ago and never changed.
Shared credentials for legacy systems nobody wants to touch.
Personal passwords reused on corporate systems because the password manager was optional…

Teaching employees to recognise phishing is important.
But modern phishing does not look like five years ago.
It looks like a message from your IT team. A calendar invite from your CEO. Something you were expecting, in the exact context you would expect it.
That is precisely why it works.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
Security starts with awareness, but it grows through action, testing, and continuous improvement.
Throughout October, we’ll be doing something a bit different…

#CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #ExploitForge #OffensiveSecurity
….we’ll be exploring the realities behind the threats, vulnerabilities, and attack paths organisations face today, and what it takes to build stronger resilience.
Let’s make security something we practise, not just something we talk about.

It is Customer Service Week…
Happy Customer Service Week🎊…
In offensive security, great service is not about response times or satisfaction surveys.
It is about whether the client understands their exposure, not just receives a report about it.
It is about findings that get fixed, not filed.
#CustomerServiceWeek #CSW #CyberSecurity #OffSec
It is about a debrief where your developers know exactly what to do next, not a PDF and a handshake.
It is about staying until the environment is actually more secure than when we arrived.
At Exploit Forge, the report is the middle of the engagement. Not the end.
And to every client who has trusted us with their environment, thank you. That trust does not go unnoticed.đź’Ż
Good partnerships don't happen by accident.
They happen when two organisations look at the same problem, the gap between people who want to get into cybersecurity and the training that actually gets them there…and decide to do something about it together.
Exploit Forge Academy X CyberScene.
Building stronger cybersecurity talent, together.
ExploitForge Academy x CyberScene.
We're joining forces to build the next generation of cybersecurity talent and practitioners who don't just understand the theory, but can do the work.

66 years of Nigeria🇳🇬…
A nation of builders, dreamers, innovators, and people who keep pushing forward even when the path isn't easy.
We may not have inherited a perfect country, but we have the responsibility to keep building one.
Happy Independence Day, Nigeria🇳🇬.
From everyone at Exploit Forge.

This is not a horror story. It is a pattern.
Four years of operation. Multiple compliance cycles. A security posture that looked solid from the inside.
Forty minutes into external reconnaissance, we found a publicly accessible cloud storage bucket containing years of customer records.
#CyberSecurity #OffSec #CloudSecurity
The access had been set for a temporary migration task. The task ended. Nobody reviewed the bucket. The access never changed.
No audit had flagged it. No scanner had been pointed at it. No one had been actively trying to find it.
That is the difference between compliance and security testing. Compliance checks whether controls are documented. Penetration testing checks whether controls actually hold when someone is looking for the gap.
Point is, Someone is always looking…👀

I’m not really into cybersecurity, but I can’t lie, there’s a lot being taught on here.
