Marlowe walks up to the body and crouches down, his helmet's visor lighting up relevant details such as the state of the body, the badge, last known locations.. he definitely had some questions for the guards. "Everything you said matches up, not that I don't believe you." ->
He moves a bit closer to her, wanting to be near his friend as he turns his gaze back out over the City, then back at her. "Yeah. Can.. I ask you for one more thing?"
"I'd.. I feel silly asking for this. I'd like a hug, Soph. It's been a long week."
"Of course. And.. sorry. I didn't mean for this to get so dark." He turns to look at her apologetically. "Soph, I appreciate you coming out here. And I appreciate the talk. It helps."

"You'll end up in my nightmares too. Everyone I meet does. Doesn't make you mine." He retorted, but settled against the railing with her, finishing off his glass.
"But I appreciate the thought, Sophie."
"She wasn't mine. She was his." He takes another drag before extinguishing it between his metal fingers, and tossing the rest away into a trash bin. He returned to his drink.
"And.. they're more like waking nightmares."
"Marlowe-3 took all the notes. I think the intention was that if he reset, they'd be able to rebuild their life. Fall in love again. When she died, he reset."
"I only see her in my nightmares."
He sets the glass down, taking out a cigarette, lighting it, and taking a drag.
"That's probably what I should be saying to you, I can't smell. But I'll keep an eye out."
As they walked, he was sure to avoid any bear droppings as he scanned the trees. It helped being alert, especially when in unfamiliar territory like he currently was.
"Marlowe-3 used to come up here with Adonis after a long day. They'd get their favorites. I'm keeping up an old tradition, I suppose. My way of honoring them, and the man I used to be." His words trail off as he looks over the City again.
"I hope she's proud of who I am now."
"I'd like to go to the cave, see what we can gather from there. Then I can collect statements from the soldiers." He replied, stepping off of the bike as he looked around, seeing the booth and the man who had waved at Sophie.
"I'll probably ask him first." ->
"Agreed. Alright, I'm ready to go."
He opens the door for her, feeling the brisk air from the early morning breeze blowing in for a moment, as he fastens his helmet on. He adjusted his jacket, and stepped outside with her.
"City's crawling with all kinds of gangs, client I had had someone go missing. One of the gangs was involved. It wasn't pretty."
He turned his gaze back to the City.
"That's not why I brought you here, though. I needed to share a drink with something other than a ghost."
