📢ANNOUNCEMENT TIME📢
Excited to share @sarahhana and I are launching JOYOUS NODE - an advisory helping indie devs market and self-publish their own games.
We care deeply about the dev community, and want more studios to succeed on their own terms.

I think one of the most important things you can do is surround yourself with people you feel truly comfortable with.
It might seem obvious, but I see so many people, for various reasons, chasing friendships that just cause them anxiety. It's really not worth it long-term.
Resident Evil was:
- Short and sweet, 90min went by fast
- No filler at all, from start to finish it was awesome
- The effects where really good!!!
- A lot of easter eggs
- Good story, what you expect
Honestly I can with confident say this is the best Resident Evil movie!
Saw the latest Resident Evil movie, gotta say I enjoyed it.
I’m looking forward to next month for Street Fighter.
Ay, back to back CAPCOM goody!

Masahiro Sakurai says originality in video games doesn’t always lead to sales but an industry without originality will die a slow death.
“I am going to say something pretty harsh, but originality doesn’t really have much of an impact on sales. I actually think it ranks pretty low on the priority list. Everyone likely feels the same way, right? For example, with convenience store drinks, there probably aren't many people who go out and try every single new drink that comes out.
The more accustomed people become to something, the closer it gets towards being a standard, or rather, I think people tend to want a taste that matches their preferences and meets their expectations.
However, an industry that loses its originality will ultimately just die a slow death. I believe the industry exists today because of the people who pioneered new inventions and created new forms of enjoyment.
The Game Designers Award” will come to an end, but I hope you will continue to look out for novelty, originality, and the unique qualities that set a game apart. Thank you very much for everything.”

In this era of overstimulation, cartoons with soft palettes, storybook pacing, unhurried voices with deep talk in small words - are needed more than ever.

To grow as a content creator:
❌ You don't need special equipment
❌ You don't need a fancy model
❌ You don't need tons of connections
❌ You don't need to be doing this full time
✅ You need to make content & post it
✅ You need to make it as often as you can, consistency
✅ You need to make it easy to find your accounts
✅ You need to make time even if its only a little bit every day
✅ You need to stop holding yourself back Fr m fear of failure
Most of your favorite creators who are now big full time entertainers did not start out as full time creators. They started making something that they were passionate about, they did it consistently, and eventually people saw them and thought it was worth supporting their dreams.
There is never a perfect time to start, so just do it! ✨

The Steam game release train will never stop so it’s imperative that devs learn how to navigate the algorithms and build their game’s visibility in ways that work best for themselves
Over 700 games launched on Steam in one week for the first time, though 74% had fewer than 10 reviews
530 titles had zero to nine reviews, while 190 had over ten reviews, according to data from ICO Partners

My teacher today in acting class said:
"Comparison is the Cancer of Creativity."
It can be so difficult not to compare ourselves to others:
✦ Ours achievements compared to other peoples
✦ Our Careers and how well we've done compared to others in our field
✦ The few opportunities we receive compared to people who seem to get many more than us
We compare other people without even really thinking about it, so it's only human to compare ourselves too, but the second we do that we are killing our own creativity and limiting the choices that we would be willing to make.
✦ Let yourself make choices even if you don't think they will work
✦ Let yourself be okay to "fail"
✦ Let yourself focus on how far you've come from your past self instead of how well other people are doing around you
We are all trying to make it, trying to keep ourselves up mood wise, and the best way to do that is by worrying about yourself! You got this! ✨

I don't understand why normies keep going to the same well with "Vtubers are most likely 40 year old hairy men pretending to be girls".
I've met probably over 100 vtubers in real life, and I've never once met one that wasn't the same gender as online.
Why are so many people acting like women aren't into anime? If you go to any anime convention, female attendees often outnumber the men by a decent amount. And the vtuber space is an overwhelmingly female dominated field.

Real talk: Don't know who needs to hear this but there's absolutely nothing wrong about being enthusiastic about your interests/hobbies. Life's too short to not talk about things you enjoy in earnest. The world's too cruel for u to hold back the joy you could be putting into it.

waiting to feel motivated before you act is the trap. treat the feeling and the action as two completely separate things. do the thing regardless of what your body's telling you about it.
