There’s a point where the initial “let’s connect” momentum dies. That’s where a lot of small blue-check accounts seem to stall around 400–600 followers. After that, you either learn to post interesting shit… or unsubscribe into oblivion.

I wouldn't deny X surely is a path to making $$$ But I’ve been trying to define my actual "why" on this app. Am I here to build a massive audience? Land writing clients? Or just share my thoughts & writings on things that interest me? I believe nailing your "why" changes everything about how you post and who you connect with. I’ve realised that I don’t care about the audience aspect; however, it might help me achieve my other goals. I’m here to gain clients and build relationships with sharp minds in my field. But it makes me wonder again - what’s the end to making these connections/conversations? Curious how you guys navigate this. More like, what's your WHY?

No one wants to admit they’re on X to make money. “I’m building my account.” “I’m here for visibility.” Lol. 😂 But what do you want to do with the visibility and growing your account? Is it not for the account to eventually pay you some $ later on? 😭 You’re spending 5–6 hours on X every day and you’re here “just for fun”?
