To be honest, it's a bit quiet but it seems nice. I think I may move over there full time at some point.

It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel.
If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.
Don't worry folks, another 100+ will enter the UK every day to replace these three.

This is a seriously disingenuous post from the Met Police.
As usual, @MetPoliceUK are complaining that their hands are tied and that they are powerless to act. That’s simply not true.
Under section 11 of the Public Order Act 1986, the Met must be provided with the name and address of the march’s organiser. This has not happened, so the march is illegal.
Furthermore, the Met seems to be saying that they feel that the march does not meet the conditions for calling for a ban under section 13 of the Act, so they will not even ask the Home Secretary to give her permission to ban it. She cannot instigate the banning process under the law, and can only make a decision in response to a request from the Met Commissioner. Why will he not at least make the case and seek her decision?
Worse, the Met seems not to have imposed any conditions on the march at all.
The Met can (without needing anyone’s permission) curtail the route, timing and numbers of people on any march that may cause “serious disruption to the life of the community”. That would be a use of existing powers under section 12 of the Act.
The Met can ban face coverings.
The Met can mobilise sufficient resources to arrest those who flout the law (and actually hand them over to the CPS to prosecute them rather than letting them all go at the end of the day).
But so far, we are being told in private conversations that the Met has classed the march as “low risk” – though the Met denies this.
If the Met does not classify an illegal march by extremists on the anniversary of the worst antisemitic atrocity since the Holocaust as causing “serious disruption to the life of the community”, then what is the point of having the laws at all?
A few months ago the Met banned a UKIP march in Tower Hamlets without hesitation. But when it comes to the Palestine hate marches, they always plead impotence. It is two tier policing.
Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley keeps saying that the law is inadequate and he needs more powers in order to do anything meaningful, but even now he is not using his existing powers.
What is inadequate is his performance over the past three years, when antisemitic hate crime has risen to unprecedented levels – a clear failure of policing for which he has never been held to account.
He must resign over this disgrace and the many travesties that have preceded it.
Epic gas lighting by those cunts in @metpoliceuk . They actively ban protests using section 12 and 14 of the public order act 1986. They use section 35 of the Anti-social behaviour, crime and policing act 2014 to force protesters to disperse or face arrest. All of these are bans.
All of the below. Summed up how I feel about the country I was born and grew up in.
This story has broken me. It has unleashed a rage so strong I can barely express it, but allow me to try.
Above all, I am angry with the decades-long malevolent incompetence of the British state: politicians of all parties, the judiciary, the civil service. Their collective uselessness has shattered the social contract and made us all poorer and less safe. In just 25 years, they have led us from an affluent, high-trust society to a broken, low-trust one.
I am sickened by the growth in sectarian politics. I am appalled by the foreign ghettos in our cities and imported, bent voting practices and resultant corruption in some of our councils. I hate seeing the clothing of female oppression on our streets. I am sickened by the fact our Jewish community lives under siege.
I no longer wish to pay tax to support those who have come here illegally and should be removed immediately. It is to our shame that we have accepted mass immigration without insisting on integration. I am tired of being told that a British passport makes a foreigner as British as me. I assure you that the “British citizen” in this story is not. I am saddened that for so many people, the concept of “British” is essentially meaningless.
I am sick of the obsession with a minor war 2,500 miles away that barely affects us. I despise that £88m of our tax money is going to Hamas (because it will), when the tax burden is a record high, everything is expensive, welfare spending is out of control and we can’t even pay for our own defences when the global risk of conflict is the highest it has been since the end of the Cold War. And in spite of how much of our money the government steals from our pockets, nothing, at all, in this country works. Healthcare, transport, education - all broken.
It is a stain on our national politics that we have five Gaza MPs. It is our national shame that our government is intent on sucking up to the Palestinian entity which contains some of the worst monsters on the face of planet. It is a disgrace that our Foreign Secretary shook the hand of the representative of the Iranian regime that has slaughtered tens of thousands of its own people, and that he doesn’t seem to understand why that photograph will damn him forever. It is embarrassing that we had a Foreign Office minister dancing with and hugging the representative of the Palestinian Authority. The lack of serious statesmanship is mind-boggling and indicative of how far we have fallen.
They say the past is a foreign country, but my goodness, do I miss the country I grew up in. I feel so sorry for the generation that grew up after 2000 and will never know how good it was. It’s not coming back.
I have no time for the demagogues and grifters who exploit this anger. I know other people feel the same as I do, and my goodness, do I understand why people are angry. For decades, those we have elected to govern in our interests have instead run our country into the ground.
And to cap it all, now we are led by fatuous, asinine, deeply unserious airheads who think serious governance is a TikTok video about pork scratchings, as the last vestiges of a coherent society die under the weight of their malignant frivolity.
The worst part of it is that there is absolutely nothing any of us can do about it. I just want to live in a happy, stable, prosperous country like we used to be, instead of one that is run by a state apparatus that does nothing but beat us down, obsess over irrelevances, take our money, and leave us poorer and less safe.

Oh... I wonder who could have been orchestrating this crime ring? And where did they come from?
Oh... it's them... ...it's always them.

Oh look @HantsPolice Your police officers manufacturing a situation to enable an arrest. Dragging an elderly man out of his car after one of your officers head butted it, then pretending it ran into him. You're no better than just another group of thugs.
@BBCNews @BBCSouthNews Fancy correcting your article about the arrests in Gosport? Seems like the only crime here was committed by the police.
It's this kind of shit that I've come to expect from @BBCNews. He wasn't "responsible", he was one of the design team. He wasn't working from home, he was at home for the bank holiday weekend. Like everyone else. It took 3 hours because he was out with his family.
Reads BBC article... Reads the names... Sigh, but don't worry, the NHS is in safe hands. We need them.

Well done @OctopusEnergy, car plugged in. Asked for 40% to take it to 100% battery for a long journey today. Didn't charge. Thanks for fucking up my day.
If you are American, and you do one thing today, read this.
If you are not an American, read it anyway.

I used to follow Scott, and watch his YouTube videos. Very informative and well researched. Unfortunately it turns out he's a typical English hating Scottish prick. Blocked and unsubscribed.
Oh look. An economically illiterate, foaming at the mouth, English hating, Scottish fuckwit.
