The top election official in Los Angeles County, Dean Logan, responded with this statement, saying his office is not going to put this USB device from the Dept of Justice into their computers because it doesn’t comply with their cyber security standards & practices:
A DOJ spokesperson confirms the letter sent to CA election officials, along with a "password-protected thumb drive," of thousands of names of people the DOJ says are noncitizens who received mail-in ballots. The DOJ has said CA needs to check each person's status w/in 48 hours.

Sen. Dan Sullivan was never governor of Alaska, but here’s Trump claiming he did a great job “as governor” and that if the people of Alaska knew the “real facts” like him, it wouldn’t be a race…
Q: You won Alaska but substantial margins all 3 times you ran. Why do you suppose the Senate race involving Sen. Sullivan is so close? TRUMP: Because the people of Alaska don't know how good he is

Susan Collins says the funds Trump is using for campaign-style ads came out of OBBB: “It is not under the jurisdiction of the Appropriations Cmte… It came from the one big, beautiful bill. It was taken out of funding that was supposed to be for Customs and Border Protection.”

They spelled “United” wrong under Trump’s name… as in “United States”
Only President Trump could convene all the leaders of the top companies developing chips, data centers and frontier models for Super Intelligence. This new Industrial Revolution has already created a million new jobs and is spurring a bigger infrastructure build-out than the railroads, canals and grid combined. I was honored to witness history as the leaders of the frontier lab companies signed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence, accepting responsibility for the safe development of their products and imposing new internal controls and external audits. This is far better than waiting years for some international agreement that would probably never happen. President Trump continues to ensure that U.S. remains the technology leader while putting Americans first.

Who knew Jack Smith was a Caitlin Clark fan?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Sen. Eric Schmitt tweeted this after a Senate Judiciary hearing where he accused Jack Smith of perjury based on texts about a "Hawks" game; Smith attended an Iowa Hawkeyes college game featuring Caitlin Clark in Maryland on Feb. 3, 2024, not an Atlanta Hawks NBA game. nbcnews.com/politics/congr… nytimes.com/athletic/76439… forbes.com/sites/alisondu… sbnation.com/nba/1130599/er…

Another wild moment was when Sen. Britt was up, her attempt to recover were some comments about the importance of protecting women’s sports.
The moment Sen. Katie Britt realized Schmitt’s mistake. xitter.cf/thepondering_/status/2…

Americans’ tax dollars at work “Paid for by the US Government.”
So I was just watching Fox News and this commercial played during Jesse Watters show. It says “Paid for by the US Government.” This is clearly a campaign ad. And the singers are just singing over and over again, “Love me” - over images of Trump. @CBSMiami @CBSNews

From the GOP senator now facing a tough reelection bid in Kansas:
When ICE operates in Kansas, it needs to coordinate with our local law enforcement. Our sheriffs and police know these communities better than anyone, and working together keeps officers and residents safe. I’m closely following what’s happening in SW Kansas and have been in direct contact with Secretary Mullin and local law enforcement as ICE executes warrants in order to keep Kansans safe.

When it comes to freedom of the press, the government does not get to pick and choose. That is enshrined in the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. This is not what happens in a Democracy:
Here's MS NOW reporter @gardnerakayla describing her arrival at the White House this morning. Her badge didn't work. "The officer asked me to hand over my badge. He said that it was disabled. I asked why I was not able to get inside. He said it was above him."
