And suddenly all my worries are gone! Alien: Earth is set in 2120, 2 years before the original Alien film.
The reports that this would be set before Prometheus were wrong, which means we won't have to fear any contradictions to the David storyline.

Alien on earth is such a dumb premise (works better as a looming threat in the movies but isn’t that interesting) and this being a prequel with an alien on earth is even more nonsensical.
