Tragic news: Curtis Flowers, who faced an extraordinarily ordeal by being prosecuted six times for the same crime by a Mississippi DA over decades before SCOTUS sided with him in 2019, just died at 56.
Flowers' case was core to the 'In the Dark' podcast.

New episode on the Holly Bobo/Zachary Adams case:
4 men were prosecuted for the abduction of Holly Bobo from her carport. All 4 were excluded as the source of a palm print on the hood of Holly's car & none matched the description of the man her brother saw taking her into the woods. New season of @Undisclosedpod debuts tomorrow:

BREAKING: Judge Sullivan will declare a mistrial in Lindsay Clancy trial @CourtTV @LawCrimeNetwork

Even harder to be a holdout for guilt than acquittal.
But yeah, Reddington's strategy is clear now. You either pressure or remove the juror.
In the alternative, you oppose mistrial, and say on appeal it was not manifestly necessary, which also gets you an acquittal.

Kevin Reddington quotes the note as saying, a particular juror "has made statements acknowledging doubt but refuses to apply it to the verdict as the law states.” He's asking the judge to question the individual juror, who he is referring to as "he." There are 3 men on the jury.

NEW: Judge Sullivan confirms that a SECOND note came back from the jury at the end of the day yesterday. He's asking the lawyers now to argue what he should do with the note. He hasn't read it. #LindsayClancy

Reddington just told us the hold out is for guilty.
That juror has doubts but he won’t vote NG.

We have movement
Sitting in the hallway outside the courtroom door where the Lindsay Clancy trial is taking place on verdict watch. Journalists and members of the public are seated on benches and sitting on the floor up and down the hallway waiting to hear court officers open the door to tell us there is something to come in for.
We are not allowed in the courtroom until there is a reason, possibilities include a note to be read by the judge from
Jurors, the jurors being brought back in to be excused and instructed not to talk about the case, or a verdict. No cameras are allowed up here - I just counted 83 people waiting.
Door just opened

WOW! Video of Dr. Michael West 'manufacturing' bitemark evidence is now available for public viewing.
Dan Slepian obtained a never-before-broadcast video of the discredited bite mark evidence used against Jimmie "Chris" Duncan at trial. Journalist Radley Balko tried to bring attention to the video many years ago, so shout out to him, too.
... and DA Steve Tew says he still wants to retry Duncan.....

District Attorney Steve Tew says he still plans to recharge and try Jimmie "Chris" Duncan, after the Louisiana Supreme Court ruled the bite mark science used to prosecute him "scientifically indefensible" and affirmed a lower court's finding of Factual Innocence.
"Obviously, we’ll need some different experts" is WILD.

After 18+ years in prison, serious questions remain about the evidence that convicted Amanda Lewis in her daughter’s 2007 death.
A 6-year-old gave at least 13 conflicting versions. The medical examiner had a documented history of negligence and didn’t even testify. New constitutional claims are now before a judge.
