Today is Gaudete Sunday - the Sunday of Joy, when we are commended to ‘rejoice in the Lord always.’
Rejoicing is easy when life is good but digging into ‘always’ reminds us that joy has different foundations than happiness.
Find the joy and rejoice!

Hooray! The flood barriers are down and Sunbeams will go ahead this coming Tuesday 7th November at 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Hope to see you there. 😃
PLEASE NOTE that due to the flood protection barriers being in place at the Avonbank Centre there can be no Sunbeams tomorrow 24th October. However, if you (and your young ones) would like to call in to Oasis, our Warm Space, for a chat and a coffee you would be very welcome 🌞.

We are praying constantly for all those who are caught up in this war. Today we stood together in solidarity against antisemitism, and every form of racism and hatred.

A Jewish child is brutally slaughtered.
A Palestinian child is brutally slaughtered.
You can contextualise, historicise, politicise all you want but there are two dead children laying in the dust.
If you can't see the evil in both deaths then shame on you.

I am against the slaughter of innocents by Israel.
If being a Christian and / or a decent human being doesn’t make you against the slaughter of innocents then something has gone very wrong. – at South East, England
