The Pan-American Highway is the world’s longest highway, almost spanning the full length of North and South America. Before today, no one had yet driven from the tippy top of North America (Tuktoyaktuk) into the Darien Gap to the southern tip in South America (Ushuaia) in an electric vehicle solo - unsupported. My Model X, Beluga, was converted into the ultimate stealth overlanding rig, with a full kitchen, running water, Starlink and 300 watts of solar panels on the hood, which allowed us to roam across some of the best most remote places on Earth with confidence.
The real challenges here…border crossings, cartels, and corrupt cops, yet I embraced it all. Charging on the other hand, was quite a puzzle sometimes, being a foreigner and having very little information to go on. I discovered how far along the electric movement is and where the short comings lie…and I can say with confidence that Tesla Supercharging is the best and most reliable infrastructure out there…
I wanted to showcase that anyone with a dream can make it happen, without needing all the answers. Thank you to all the kind strangers that helped along the way, and the countless dogs that adopted us and kept guard at night!

The irony..Ushuaia currently doesn’t have any power…so this message is coming from Space, Powered by my Custom Solar Panels!

Stunning roadside cooking it was
On the way up north, @Everydaysandro and I were struggling to find a hospedaje (cheap hotel) to stay at as it was a holiday weekend.
Following a roadside sign, we found a beautiful spot at a ranch and we were even able to enjoy a warm fire to end the night.
Another cool charger to visit sometime!

Always into the unknown 💨
It's crazy there aren't any EV chargers in the Northeastern most province in Argentina, Missiones. 'sup with that, @JMilei?
We think there's 1 in the northwest corner but it's not on @plugshare (yet). Adventuring in a charging desert with @Everydaysandro 🤘😎
Fun times!
Perfect start to a trip with @Everydaysandro in Argentina: airport pickup, coffee and an Argentinan @cybertruck 🤘😎
Stranded in Patagonia and then Tesla called…
16 countries, 50,000km (31K miles) across some of the most beautiful and remote regions of the world, how has my Tesla held up?

My first 48 hours in Uruguay! X knows before YouTube!
I usually don’t update my real-life location for my own safety. Turns out Beluga and I have been spotted. I don’t have any logos on Beluga about my YT channel, so sometimes it’s a nice surprise!
Uruguay feels like EV heaven! So many different brands and tooooo many fast DC chargers to pick from! I have waved to a few Teslas but none of them waved back :/.
Yesterday I had the privilege to meet Martin, from Electric Americas group, whom travelled from Anchorage to Ushuaia in 2022, with a Model 3 & X.
This is his Model 3! Beluga was so happy to meet her sister!
I also went to the Tesla store in downtown. What do you see in the pictures reflection?
Are our Tesla’s even worth $25K?
Broken down in remote Patagonia..
What do you do when you are 1,500 miles (3,000km) away from the nearest service center with a out-of-region Tesla in another country?
Today, we are attempting to solve another problem…

Ripping 60kW on my final day in Argentina before I take the ferry to Uruguay.
Drove a few hours around Buenos Aires without any plan, just driving till the roads forced me one way or another.
After surviving the south of the world, with very little reliable charging available, feels nice to be surrounded by chargers, meaning I don’t have to worry about 1%.
Even saw a Cybertruck! Wonder where he charges?😉.
Argentina. 6 months, thank you everything!
Cheers, Sandro & Belugita
I absolutely love this! Easy peasy
In 2015 I drove a Model S P85 across remote parts of Canada scouting Supercharger sites. Range anxiety was real, and I sometimes turned the heat off in winter just to make it to the next charger.
Night and day now. Those same routes have 3+ Superchargers between destinations that you can skip, where there used to be none.
A charging company would have stopped at Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. @TeslaCharging completed the Trans-Canada route in 2019 and kept adding sites along the main corridors and secondary routes so people can get home confidently for the holidays.
Canada is beautiful and vast, and we're far from done electrifying it, powered by local hydro. Thank you to our Canadian customers!
