It’s actually the other way round Mr. President. There is a reason the right to life and the fundamental freedoms come first in the Bill of Rights. More than anything else we want to live in a free and democratic country because in the dark of the grave where you put Rex Maasai and Albert Ojwang, you can’t see shiny things.
President William Ruto has declared that freedom and democracy are meaningless without development, sharpening the political debate with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna over what Kenya needs ahead of the 2027 general election.

I’m literally that weirdo who wrote (all by hand) a 15K word blog post on:
- why one cant treat models as oracles
- how models gaslight you all the time
- what it takes to build confidence in the model’s output
copyconstruct.medium.com/how…
So yeah sure, I believe in magical woo-woo
Replying to @copyconstruct
I don't expect models to do things well automatically. I'm just pointing out that you believe in the magic too much. Including things "I gave it things to read" lol

Claude writes about 90% of Claude Code's code.
From June to September, merged PRs more than doubled while the share reverted fell by more than 40%.
We wrote about how we changed code review to get there, and how to adopt it:
claude.dev/blog/solving-code…
It doesn't even have to be in CLAUDE.md. As long as you define them somewhere you are on your way to greatness. Even past discussions/prompts counts. I am always pleased to see the agent say it can't do X because of principle A

To create my claude.md, I had it read:
- my favorite programming books + blogs
- the best oss projects
- the code of the engineers I respect the most
Claude (when given proper instructions, constraints, and context) now writes better code than me, almost always.
the coding agent haters are getting dunning-kruger'd so hard right now
do you really think that your engineering ability is better than the models at this point?
it is very very likely that fable is better than you in every branch of software
it has been trained on all the code of the internet, it knows almost every trick in the book, all the design patterns of every domain, every single low-level detail, every bit-twiddling hack, it's read every single blog post from every cracked engineer that ever existed
do you really think you can beat it? do you really think you can be more creative than it?
unless you are 99th percentile expert in some niche domain of software, it simply is not possible. sorry.

Thank you Senator @edwinsifuna for your kind words. India stood with Kenya in that moment of profound grief, and we were honoured to assist in bringing the mortal remains of Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga home.
As Kenya commemorates the first death anniversary of the former Prime Minister, the High Commission of India in Nairobi joins the country in paying tribute to the distinguished statesman and visionary leader. His legacy of championing democracy, national unity and public service, and his contribution to 🇮🇳–🇰🇪 friendship, will always be remembered.
@IdaOdinga
I kept my passes from KQ flights 202 and 203 to and fro Mumbai on 15/16 October 2025. I couldn’t tell you what the toughest part of the day was, receiving the news in the morning or taking that flight to Mumbai. But I digress. I want to say Ahsante sana to some key people who made everything possible in very difficult circumstances.
1. The Indian High Commission in Nairobi and the Indian Government. I don’t know how many rules of international travel were bent to make that flight happen. Ahsante sana.
2. @KenyaAirways management and the flight crew led by Capt. Saviemaria Ondego. Absolute class. Bwana on the way back we thought our tears had dried then she hit us with that call change to RAO001 when we entered our airspace. Wacha tu. God bless.
3. The regular passengers on those two flights. Many were bumped off. Heavy seat changes to accommodate the delegation. Long delays especially on flight 202. Many had no idea what was happening until we were airbone and the captain made the announcement. Apologies for the inconveniences on that day, but you were very gracious. God bless.
4. The @kdfinfo . Bwana for the honor extended to Baba, we his people will forever be grateful. Salute🫡

They really just got on stage and said this newly designed 4000+ pound car can do flips and go half the speed of sound (380+mph) and will ship in 2028. This is a prank, right?
Falcon booster landing ability on a car is sweet. Porting the tech to work on a car must have been an interesting project

At Uber's scale, serving millions of translations per second makes memory efficiency critical.
We reworked how translations are stored and cached, cutting CPU usage by over 30% and reducing the initial cache memory footprint by over 90%, all while maintaining low latency.
