Today, I vetoed the Russian law. This law, in its essence and spirit, is fundamentally Russian, contradicting our constitution and all European standards. It thus represents an obstacle to our European path.

❗️"Hungary's foreign policy is carried out based on national interest," stated FM Szijjártó, emphasizing the importance of stable and fair cooperation with Russia. ❌The minister dismissed that external pressure could disrupt this relationship and reported progress in the Paks nuclear plant expansion.
🤝FM Szijjártó also assured that Hungary's energy supply, especially gas and oil deliveries, would continue as agreed with Russia and reiterated Hungary's commitment to peace in Ukraine, advocating for the start of peace negotiations.
