👇Due Diligence 👇
I've had a bunch of positive feedback on my sample due diligence list when you buy a business.
If you want a copy, comment "Eureka" below and I'll drop it in your DMs (must be following)
I'm drooling over this new listing that's going live at the end of the month...
$5MM in revenue and NO WEBSITE...
Who wants to buy it with me?
It's Harvard reunion weekend... to combat all the start-up bragging and Forbes 30 under 30 nonsense, tell me your biggest win since college, business or personal! 👇

Victory laps in the P-51 after a successful business sale… who’s coming with!
I was completely wrong about my client's business.
I made an assumption about his business model based on the industry that he is in. I thought I knew exactly what he did. Turns out, its a way better model than I thought.
He added recurring revenue to a distribution business?
Now I've seen it all.
My wife and I are looking for a new home.
I'm loving realtor.com over all the other listing sites... is there a compelling reason to use one over the other or is there one that is objectively better than the others?

This can kill the sale or purchase of a business.
Especially when a broker doesn't disclose the certifications. If your acquisition target does any government or municipal work, you need to be asking specifically if they hold these designations.
This might be the worst time in history to enter CRE brokerage, Residential Brokerage or Business Brokerage...
There are a lot of fat cats out there that rode the low interest wave and have no idea how to actually get deals done.
Choose your partners/mentors/deal team wisely
I still don't understand why people that go to business school do UNPAID Search Fund Internships... can someone explain this to me?
It's really easy to find the bad things about businesses in CIMs, try to find the good things that fit your criteria and made you interested in the first place.
Find your foundation for the business and then ask the question-- "if I can't solve this bad thing about the business, do I still want to proceed?"
Its a radical way of viewing deals that forces you to put every deal through your criteria first and then incrementally adding back the bad stuff to see if you still like it.
Under LOI for 2 months and getting close to funding an SBA loan.
Turns out the loan officer was lying to us the whole time, skipped steps and was fired. We now need to restart the entire loan process
I can’t force a buyer to use a lender I like, but I’m going to start being more forceful

Does anybody know of a great quick serve breakfast spot franchise/chain?
I've thought about this space a lot and always thought you could make a killing as a street vendor or with a ghost kitchen making breakfast burritos. You could even do a subscription model for a neighborhood and make the burritos and then distribute them before commuting hours each morning.
It should be a simple menu with 3 types of burritos targeted at busy professionals. Every burrito would have 3 eggs, cheese, salsa and a choice of meat.
You could make these for under a dollar each and sell them for $5 to $10 based on your market.
If you see someone on the street with a griddle making burritos that looks like me, it might be me.
