the ad sucks for other reasons but god would it kill these ad firms to hire someone with an ounce of charisma to do their line reads
First look: the new TV ad from @KeanForCongress continues to portray @RebeccaForNJ07 as a millionaire who doesn't attend church. newjerseyglobe.com/congress/…

incorrectly explaining transit operational expenses to Americans: β€œso imagine a burger”
Replying to @Lib_Development
$700m of salaries and benefits for 130 track miles and just 50 stations seems like a very large budget. For reference, shake shack has 500+ locations and its total opex structure (not just salary and benefits) is around the same amount.

The Scooby-Doo characters were originally supposed to be based on the Archie gang until they were given the personalities of the cast of Dobie Gillis. Van Partible has shared a model sheet he scanned while at Hanna-Barbera featuring a cut character who was likely the Reggie

Everyone involved in this should have their lives ruined by the next administration
BREAKING: DHS contractors are toppling the last of four ancient cottonwoods to build double border walls across the San Rafael Valley. The wall cuts through the key remaining wildlife corridor for endangered jaguars between Arizona and Sonora, where human border crossings are seldom seen. A protest camp had occupied and protected this tree for more than 60 days, halting construction. The camp was raided and campers were arrested this morning. This wall will effectively lock the remaining jaguars in the U.S. into solitary confinement, while permanently marring one of the last remaining wild places along the Arizona border.

Marshall trying out the ol’ β€œwatch me play with my tuoys” strategy
I spent the day with Sen Roger Marshall. He showed me his corner of Kansas. Slammed rival Adam Hamilton for living in a "bubble" in affluent Johnson County β€œWhat does he know of the rural economy?” he said. β€œHow many union workers go to his church? How many people in his congregation have calluses on their hands?”
