Aside from the cruelty, it is just mind-blowingly stupid. All that police, court and prison time and money spent on criminalising homeless people when we could spend less on housing and helping them.

Please. I’m trying to get the country to see that the water crisis isn’t just a Flint thing, I’m in this for every single person in the US that has toxic water. Flint is just one city out of hundreds. I’ve been screaming America has a water crisis for almost 5 years.

DAY OF THE FOREST DEFENDER
January 18th is the anniversary of the assassination of Tortuguita, a queer, Indigenous forest defender who was shot 57 times while seated in their tent with their hands up.
We will never stop telling your story!

I know so many people (myself included) who lost their jobs for posting. For just posting. But this man serially harassed a food vendor over the course of multiple weeks and he’ll only have to incur the horror of *checks notes* an anti bias course.

Meanwhile our professional academic associations are hemming and hawing over the most basic demand: a ceasefire. You are jokes that belong in the dustbin of history with the murderous regimes you are not brave enough to critique.

16 year old child ground to death in a poultry processing plant, in 2023.
Over a hundred years later and the same atrocities described in Upton Sinclair's 'the Jungle', the horrors of the meatpacking industry, are still happening to working class immigrants.
A Mississippi poultry plant is being fined $212,646 after a 16 year-old boy was caught in a machine and killed.
Duvan Tomas Perez, an immigrant from Guatemala, died on July 14 on an evening shift at the Mar-Jac’s plant.

The horror of seeing these people freezing in front of all those big buildings. What a world we've made.
This is Prissa. She showed me the tarp she is living under in Edmonton last night in -33 weather. She said she and her boyfriend keep warm with candles while huddling underneath. She said she avoids the shelters and explains why in this video. Her tent and belongings were thrown out by city officials in December.

I’ve intentionally only shared color photos of my father today.
It wasn’t that long ago…
And if we don’t #ShiftTheCulture, we will digress further into legislation that denies the existence of discrimination and, therefore, makes way for racist, unjust practices.

With my mother. Daddy’s funeral.
He wasn’t assassinated because he wanted his children to be judged “by the content of their character.”
But for dismantling racism, poverty & militarism.
He wanted corrective measures to eradicate racism, not the delusion that it doesn’t exist.
