Last year, on July 5th, 2025, my GoDaddy website was reactivated. I didn't really do anything to overhaul it except use AI to rewrite all the text content, and it's abysmal. This year, I will attempt to fix it and maybe sell stuff or something 🤔

This Day in D&D History, October 27, 1986
The road from Solace led here.
Douglas Niles’ Dragons of Triumph brought the original Dragonlance campaign to its showdown with the Queen of Darkness.
And Clyde Caldwell gave it the most badass cover.
Did your party make it all the way to DL14?

“The Tavern Can Wait,”
A Wizard and Beth short film.
In this one, Beth basically becomes Ghita of Alizar (thanks @BarbarianDisco for the idea). If you don’t know who that is, she was a sword and sorcery heroine form the early 80s who catered heavily to the male gaze.
This one is only slightly NSFW.
Enjoy!

TSR got REALLY weird in 1981. ❤️
That year, the company behind Dungeons & Dragons released an official Escape from New York board game based on John Carpenter’s film.
And look who was involved:
Design: Zeb Cook and Harold Johnson
Art credits include: Jeff Dee, Dave LaForce, Jim Roslof, Bill Willingham, and Erol Otus
Even better, the game featured what appear to be:
🛩️ Bill Willingham art on the instruction booklet title page
🧟 Erol Otus art of the Crazies emerging from the sewers
So yes, TSR really made a board game where players race through prison Manhattan to rescue the President and recover the tape before time runs out.
And the box proudly says:
“For 2 to 4 Adults Ages 10 and Up”
An R-rated John Carpenter movie.
Turned into a TSR board game for ages 10 and up. 😂
This is the kind of gloriously strange early 80s TSR history I live for.
Had you ever seen this one before?

No way! I had no idea this existed! I loved the movie and I would love to play this. Going to see if eBay has it…

Will be meeting my PhD supervisors tomorrow at the university. Since July, very little progress has been made, this being my discussion on August Derleth and the Cthulhu Mythos. Discussion will mostly be plans going forward I imagine. I trust it will go smooth.
