Bwah that's Sacramento's music!
Here’s context on the weight clause in the Pistons’ offer to Jalen Duren, with @sam_amick.
Details on when Detroit initially wanted Duren to lose weight, monthly weigh-ins and more:

Could Ben Simmons turn it around and play average defense and limit your offense while posting misleading REB + AST stats?
If he humbled himself and worked hard, maybe.
Problem is that he has had a loser’s mentality at every stop.
Sure, the contract is nothing.

Ben Simmons to Sacramento would be the natural order of things. At least they’re not talking about trading multiple firsts to get him this time around. But as is commonly understood, if it’s the dumb dumb thing to do, it’s a virtual lock to be the thing they do.

Jon’s been perfecting his craft for a while now and seeing the work he does behind the scenes you just know it when you see it. Enjoy the zig to the zag, especially with so much noise these days.
Today is the day we launch the Mosales 200.
Everyone has rankings, but the Mosales 200 flies in the face of consensus and is the crown jewel of the SportsEthos #fantasyfootball Draft Guide.
Be bold, be different and most importantly leave everyone in your league guessing.

I covered the Maloofs in the Kings relocation saga … easy to see similarities in Portland. Piss the locals off, go overly aggressive in negotiations while targeting better value via another city. It takes a robust biz, media and fan effort to keep the NBA on your side, Portland

Mike Brown coached so well and he’s just such a good one … so extremely happy for him

The leagues need to get their shit together. If they want only PR out of their reporters, they’re going to spin into a spiral of low/bad coverage dooming their sport. And teams wonder why season ticket renewals are bad when PR coverage doesn’t line up with reality.

Ja Morant to the Kings talk is … hilariously on brand. Almost like Russell Westbrook to the Kings was/is and handing the car keys to DeMar DeRozan was.
They are that person at the table losing money trying to find the deed to their car and house so they can lose another hand.

Sorry Sacramento.
Not breaking news, but your franchise is doomed until Vivek sells. Good luck listening to the purple colored glasses talk.

Utah *was* on a standings island against Sacramento, but they had to know what they were working with. What a hilarious sad mess the Kings are. But at least DeMar got to have a good game in Toronto. And of course that'll be paying the bills five years from now.

They’re so close to figuring it out and yet so far
Scott Perry was unwilling to move on from Domantas Sabonis at the deadline for low value.
I am curious if he will have that same approach for Domas and some of the other veterans this summer.
From DeRozan to Monk, just dumping their salary for pennies seems like a waste. Maybe you do that with LaVine's contract.

Maxime: Efficiency lately a great sign. He needs to turn into a top-tier offensive center to make the defensive issues (and eventual cap issues since stats cost money) worth the $/mpg investment.
Nique: Maybe a starter on a good team. Maybe JAG
Dylan: Big upside, solid floor

Hey, Sacramento, if Dallas botches the Moussa Cisse thing y'all better call your constituent(s). Same for the other 28 of you ...
SportsEthos Sacramento Kings Coverage retweeted
You’ll never believe this, but there is a difference in valuation for Domantas Sabonis in Sacramento than there is everywhere else.

Good luck, Keon. May you land at a franchise that doesn’t continue destroying your career.
Away from the all-consuming Giannis Antetokounmpo Sweepstakes:
Sacramento's conversations on a Keon Ellis trade have only intensified, sources tell @JakeLFischer and me, with Cleveland joining the large group of teams vying for the in-demand swingman.
