Sadly I don't think any person with the power to change how the police are acting is ever going to ask the public what sort of policing they want. When you deliberately create a 2 tier legal system what is best for ALL of the public isn't what you are aiming for.

THE ALAN TURING INSTITUTE: HOW STATE INTELLIGENCE AND PRIVATE PHILANTHROPY CO-OPTED DATA SCIENCE🧵
The Alan Turing Institute was created as the UK national facility for artificial intelligence and data science. A systematic forensic audit of statutory filings, institutional contracts, and internal government reviews demonstrates that the entity functions as an operational mechanism for intelligence tasking, public policy laundering, and algorithmic oversight.
Behind the facade of independent academic research lies an architecture designed to bypass democratic accountability and project state influence under the guise of technical consensus.
🔴PILLAR 1: THE STATE INTELLIGENCE ANCHOR
The operational integration of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), GCHQ, MI5, and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) into the Institute's core research agenda via DARe and ARC.
🔴PILLAR 2: PHILANTHROPIC POLICY LAUNDERING
The financial and structural pipelines linking private billionaire networks, including Pierre Omidyar's Luminate and George Soros's Open Society Foundations (OSF), to internal units like the Ada Lovelace Institute to draft binding regulatory frameworks.
🔴PILLAR 3: THE DIPLOMATIC AND LEGISLATIVE PIPELINE
The operational alignment with Wilton Park, Reset.tech, and Carnegie UK to convert non-governmental policy concepts into statutory enforcement mechanisms like the UK Online Safety Act, EU Digital Services Act, and EU AI Act.
🔴PILLAR 4: INFORMATIONAL CONTROL & DISINFORMATION
The deployment of the Online Harms Observatory and automated counter speech algorithms feeding directly into Ofcom and DSIT regulatory mechanics.
🔴PILLAR 5: FINANCIAL AND GOVERNANCE FAILURE
Official findings from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) confirming severe financial oversight deficiencies, structural instability, and a fundamental breakdown in independence.

The days of policing by consent have gone. They went decades ago. Monkeys scrabbling for peanuts is the model now. The police don't know or care what the law is, only what their commands are. Soon, immigrants will be recruited to a more militarised police for internal suppression

Serious point here.

Well, he did.

Is the issue structural? Crown servants can't bite the hands that feed them?
If so the overarching structure is the constitution where powers are seperate and Policing is by consent.
So let's get back to those basics. – at Bourne, England
One does not need necessarily to be anti-police for the sake of such, but one does need to be frank and objective in their observations about the issues which are plainly apparent and determinable.
The cumulative findings of our investigation to date raise a fundamental question about British policing: Whether national coordination affected the independent assessment of allegations concerning the Government’s own Covid response.
The documentary record includes an internal policing communication describing “guidance to not record” as having “been a success”. Police Scotland attributed the advice underlying its approach to the NPCC and the UK Gold Command structure.
Those are matters of record. Their precise scope, authority and application across individual forces require explanation.
The concern is straightforward. Police must assess allegations according to the applicable law, recording standards and evidence. If their treatment is instead predetermined by a national position concerning the subject matter, operational independence becomes a principle asserted rather than a practice demonstrated.
That does not mean every allegation must be recorded as a crime or subjected to a full criminal investigation. It means that a decision not to proceed must result from a proper assessment - not merely from the allegation falling within an institutionally unwelcome category.
CRN 6029679/21 illustrates why the distinction matters. The Metropolitan Police’s disclosed records contain screening, allocation to a detective, CID involvement and continuing handling alongside a no-crime classification. Those records require a precise explanation of what was done, what was considered and how the decision was reached.
A classification is an outcome. It is not, by itself, an explanation of the process producing it.
The wider difficulty is accountability. Where decisions involve local forces, national policing structures and other institutions, responsibility must remain identifiable. Referral does not explain assessment. Coordination does not establish lawful authority. An institutional assurance does not reconcile a contradictory record.
Questions concerning these matters remain outstanding across several bodies. Their silence does not prove wrongdoing. It does, however, leave material questions unanswered.
What appears to be emerging is a gap between the independence policing professes and the transparency needed to demonstrate that independence when allegations concern those who exercise State powers.
The public is entitled to expect a policing system capable of examining such allegations objectively and of explaining, through evidence, why it acted or declined to act. This applies whether or not issues involved relate to COVID matters.

🚨OPP’s Top Criminal Profiler Took Bribes and Neglected His Duty While Serial Killer Russell Williams Hunted His Next Victim
Ontario Provincial Police Professional Standards Covered Up and Lied to Protect a Colleague.
Did Commissioner Chris Lewis Know? (I hope not)
In 2008 and 2009, OPP Detective Sergeant Jim Van Allen headed the Ontario Provincial Police Criminal Profiling Unit during the hunt for an escalating sexual predator terrorizing communities in eastern Ontario.
Van Allen was personally involved in profiling the Orleans break-in series that began in 2008, and the September 2009 sexual assaults in Tweed that would later be attributed to RCAF Colonel Russell Williams. Long before Williams committed his first murder, Van Allen assessed the then-unknown offender as increasingly aggressive and warned that he posed a growing danger of escalating to sexual assault.
Detective Sergeant Van Allen was right - but like many of the criminals he hunted, he too was living a secret life.
While his fellow officers trusted him with some of the most serious investigations in Canada, Van Allen was betraying them, betraying his duty and betraying his Oath of Office. He had an illegal business on the side taking bribes to sell confidential police information and the power of his badge and authority to paying outsiders.
Understand what Van Allen’s power and authority meant...
Jim Van Allen was not merely an experienced detective. He was the OPP’s top criminal profiler – known nationally and internationally. His position carried authority, presence, urgency and extraordinary access. He knew the police systems, the databases, the intelligence channels, the specialists and the people to call. He knew how to make things happen. When Jim Van Allen called, people answered.
Because when a homicide investigator says, “I need your assistance,” people respond.
Police services respond. Government offices respond. Corporate security departments respond. Banks, hotels, telephone companies, insurers, businesses and institutions all respond – often without waiting for a warrant or subpoena.
Homicide never has to ask twice.
That enormous public trust, investigative power and authority exists to catch killers and protect innocent people.
Detective Sergeant Jim Van Allen was secretly selling it all for filthy money.

The truth IS out👌👊🤔🤓
On 12 January 2022, the Staff Officer to the Metropolitan Police Commissioner wrote concerning CRN 6029679/21:
“I'm afraid allegations against the Government's Covid regulations and vaccine programs are not a matter for the Met police to investigate as allegation of a criminal offence.”
That statement now requires a very simple explanation.
Why was the Commissioner's Office of the Metropolitan Police stating that criminal allegations concerning Government Covid regulations and vaccine programmes were not a matter for the Metropolitan Police to investigate?
Upon what legal basis?
Upon whose authority?
Was this the @metpoliceuk @MetCC position, or a national policing position?
And if allegations of criminality concerning Government policy were not a matter for the Metropolitan Police to investigate, which police force did have jurisdiction to investigate them?
Four years later, the question has not diminished in importance.
It has grown.
The rule of law requires an answer.
