For the first time ever, Qualcomm will pay Huawei patent royalties for 5G and AI LoL 😂
Both companies signed a new multi year licensing deal, and this time Qualcomm is the one paying.
Till now it was Huawei paying Qualcomm to use its tech, and Huawei is also the company the US tried to cut off with sanctions. And this is the same Huawei that the US banned from buying American chips and tech.
Now Huawei owns so many 5G and AI patents that even Qualcomm has to pay for them 👀

5x zoom comparison, in order: Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
1. Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max: The color of the apple itself is the most accurate of the three. However, the overall image has a slightly warm, yellowish cast, making the leaves look a bit too yellow and dry. A slight shift toward green would make it much closer to the actual scene. The out-of-focus rendering also looks quite strange.
2. iPhone 18 Pro Max: The color deviation is quite obvious. The entire image has a noticeable reddish cast, and the white balance is way off.
3. Galaxy S26 Ultra: Overall, this is actually the closest to what the scene looked like in real life. The apple itself is a little more saturated than it should be, but the out-of-focus rendering looks the most natural of the three.

Micron says robots will need 200GB+ DRAM, same memory as self-driving cars, CEO warns memory shortage will get worse in 2027 and 2028 👀
Micron in its latest earnings said Level 4+ self-driving cars already use more than 200GB of memory and multiple TB of storage, and humanoid robots will need the same
- That's more than 10x what today's Level 2 and Level 3 cars use
- Some robot companies are already testing Micron's next-gen memory
- Micron is also making the first custom HBM4E for Nvidia, called "NVHBM", for its next-gen GPUs
- Almost all of Micron's 2027 HBM is already sold, at much higher prices
- CEO Sanjay Mehrotra says the memory shortage will be even worse in 2027 and 2028 than this year
- Micron says it has no idea when supply and demand will be back to normal
So AI data centers were just the start, if robots take off too then RAM prices are not coming down anytime soon

Galaxy S26 Ultra vs. OPPO Find X10 Pro Max main camera comparison.
This is essentially ISOCELL HP2 vs. HPC. HPC can also give us a very good idea of what to expect from the next-generation sensor used in the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
And the difference is huge.
Just look at the dynamic range. In this extremely challenging scene, the S26 Ultra blows out a large portion of the highlights outside the cave, losing both texture and color. The HPC sensor preserves significantly more information in those bright areas while still retaining plenty of detail inside the dark cave.
Same 1/1.3-inch size. Same 200MP. Same 0.6μm pixels.
Yet the actual image quality can be dramatically different.
This is exactly why you should never judge a camera sensor by size and megapixels alone.

🔥 BREAKING: Samsung has officially begun mass production of the Exynos 2700, and this chip could be far more important than expected.
Key details:
• Exynos 2700 has entered front-end wafer mass production, moving beyond the small-scale sample stage.
• Production volume is reportedly more than 10% higher than Exynos 2600.
• Galaxy S27, S27+, and the new S27 Pro are expected to use Exynos 2700 in Korea and Europe.
• The US and China are expected to continue using Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.
• Samsung is still considering whether to use Exynos 2700 in the Galaxy S27 Ultra. No final decision has been made yet.
• Samsung's System LSI division reportedly strongly wants Exynos 2700 in the S27 Ultra, while the MX division is still evaluating performance, thermals, cost, and SF2P production capacity.
• Most interestingly, a recent Samsung internal Geekbench 6 test reportedly showed Exynos 2700 scoring 9.5% higher in multi-core performance than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
• Based on the reported Snapdragon multi-core score of 12,856, this would put Exynos 2700 above 14,000 points in Geekbench 6 multi-core.
• Exynos 2700 is manufactured on Samsung Foundry's second-generation 2nm SF2P process.
Samsung clearly has much more confidence in Exynos 2700 this time. The biggest question now is simple:
Will Samsung finally put Exynos back into the Galaxy S27 Ultra?

Digital Foundry has described the PS5’s new QSSR upscaler as “extraordinary”.
It depends on a game by game basis but Wolverine is significantly sharper thanks to QSSR and its likely it will improve GTA 6 on base PS5 a ton.
It is not PSSR levels, but it’s very impressive!

First PSSR came to PS5 Pro. Now Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR) is coming to PS5.
Details on new upscaling tech, coming first to Marvel’s Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei: play.st/4hjL9yo

Base PS5 just got QSSR, a new upscaling feature for base consoles only.
This delivers sharper visuals using AI upscaling and is much better than FSR according to Sony.
Very curious to see deeper dives into this tech and how it compares to PS5 Pro’s PSSR, especially in GTA 6.
It’s now available on Ghost of Yotei and Wolverine via a new update for these games. Really great feature for the PS5, if its anywhere near PSSR, it will make a huge difference for base console owners.
