This is the problem with dbd twt. This is the wrong approach. You should be looking for weak perks that can be buffed instead of dulling down the game by nefring everything that is useful.

今回の海賊版騒動でたびたび名前が出るゲイブ・ニューウェルについて調べてみた。
この人はSteamを作ったValveの共同創業者で、海賊版について「合法的に入手する手段がない、あるいは正規版が不便だから海賊版が広がっているのであれば、提供する側にも問題がある」という考え方を持っている。
ならば正規版をきちんと、早く、便利に提供すれば、海賊版は相対的に減っていく。Steamは実際にその考え方で成功した例なので、「日本のコンテンツ業界も同じように正規流通を充実させるべきだ」という話らしい。
好むと好まざるとにかかわらず、これからそういう時代になっていくのかもしれない。
If anything, these past few days we've learn how incredibly hypocritical this generation of Japanese gamers are. They like to lecture on morals while their country has one of the highest piracy rates in the world. It's been funny.

There's something to be said about how a lot of Japanese people are incapable of viewing manga / videogames / anime etc. as art to be experienced and instead just as products to be consumed. That's probably why they don't care for the creators but only corporate interest.

According to the GDC 2026 survey most developers are speaking up and they are both not doing it and don't love it.
I hereby promise I will never buy games from the epic store ever again nor will I use their barebones launcher. The games I already have in their platform I will either buy again from steam/gog or I will straight up pirate them. I'll buy as less games made with unreal as possible
