I'll take a TV series (more to see), but why the heck will it have taken nearly nine years since the 2018 film, which held the #1 domestic spot for three consecutive weekends, to see more of Rachel Chu and the Young family? Crazy, indeed!
Not just rich — crazy rich.
From Jon M. Chu and Adele Lim, #CrazyRichAsians will continue as an HBO Original Series starting production in 2027. Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Ronny Chieng, and Michelle Yeoh reprise their roles based on Kevin Kwan's bestselling books.
Couples on soaps need angst, sure, but where are the stories for people who meet, date, fall in love, get married, and create a family? There can be obstacles in between and afterward, but I just don't see the story beats anymore. #BeyondTheGates #BoldandBeautiful #GH #DAYS #YR

Two weeks into the 2026-2027 season, we still haven't received Households and Total Viewers. However, I can say that, demographically at least, #GH is currently outpacing the first two weeks of 2025-2026 in both key demos.
Additionally, the show is pacing on par with, or just ahead of, the first two weeks of the 2024-2025 season, particularly in Women 18-49.
It helps that ABC is no longer preempting the show over multiple days for MLB Wild Card Games after Disney ended its broadcast deal last year, and I do wonder if Nielsen made changes to those participating (literal people) in its ratings sample. We shall see as the season progresses.
All that said, if we do not receive Households and Total Viewers by tomorrow, we will at least report the demos first and update with the missing categories if/when we receive them.

Because people are tired of 8 episodes per season and having to wait nearly two years to see what happens next. Netflix is why networks went from 22 episodes a season to 18, and now 15, 13, 10 and 7.
Copying what they think works for one doesn’t work for all.
Additionally, binge viewing was supposed to be a luxury. Now it’s become an epidemic. Weekly viewing is what started primetime TV and will always be the superior method.
