One thing no one mentions about being an adult is how much time you debate over keeping a cardboard box because it's a really good box. #goodbox

The flydubai incident is a good litmus test to see if people who claim they aren’t Nazis or Nazi-esque can condemn an attempt to kill a plane full of Israelis without excusing it, minimizing it, “contextualizing” it, or deciding the victims had it coming.

Miracles used to look like the Red Sea splitting. Today they look like 180 lives being saved because people thinking clearly in a terrifying situation managed to take control.

A relevant reminder for the day:
When Al-Qaeda began hijacking Flight 11, the first plane to hit the towers, Daniel Lewin, an American-Israeli entrepreneur and IDF veteran (Sayeret Matkal), fought back. Unfortunately, one of the killers was sat right behind him and slashed his throat. The first murder that day.

This is Asad Rejwan, one of the five men who breached the cockpit and subdued the copilot. His firsthand account: Someone started screaming at the front, “There’s a knife in the cockpit!” and the plane started plummeting. His daughters started flying out of their seats. “I need to fight to save my wife and daughters.” He and four other guys broke into the cockpit, kicking and punching the copilot. Yaniv was the first in. The pilot had managed to unlock the cockpit door. This was all happening as the plane was plummeting. A paramedic and a nurse who were on board saved the pilot’s life. A British pilot who was on the plane took over the controls and landed the aircraft. These five turned a near-calamity into a victory that will be recounted for decades. A sort of mini-Entebbe raid, but instead of elite paratroopers, an ad hoc group of Israeli everymen.
