In the heart of New York City, chants to wipe Israel off the map while holding up a picture of the Hamas terrorist who orchestrated October 7. A moral failure. Where’s the mayor?

This is a disgraceful moral failure. Weaponizing the anniversary of the mass murder and kidnapping of Israelis to amplify a modern blood libel against Israelis does nothing to promote peace. It only fuels more violence and hate.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

The statement by NY Mayor Mandami is an outrageous & disgusting rant & made on a day that ought to honor the over 1200 civilians butchered by Hamas including 46 Americans.  His comments are as insensitive & insulting as saying on the 9-11 Anniversary that “While we mourn the loss of those murdered by terrorists we condemn the response of the United States equally .”  There is NO genocide in Gaza.  The death toll there is due to Hamas having continued to hold hostages (including Americans) and starving, raping, torturing and killing them. An apology for his obtuse and utterly ignorant remarks are not enough.  God help the people of New York for electing a a jihadist sympathizer!

Did this altercation perhaps involve an Omani terrorist trying to murder a pilot and then nose-dive a plane full of Israeli passengers into the ground?

Maxis was built differently — re-engineered from the ground up for bigger builds, with the space, support, and stability standard chairs often miss. Built for 5'10""–6'7"" and up to 399 lbs.

On September 11, 2001, I was 25 years old and a member of @JetBlue's founding marketing team. I spent more than 24 hours as part of our emergency command center team, helping manage diverted flights and supporting the airline’s response and recovery efforts in any way we could. Two days later, I returned to my apartment at 57th Street-about four and a half miles, or the equivalent of roughly 90 short Manhattan blocks, from Ground Zero. The smoke had traveled that far uptown. The air was cloudy and filled with a powerful smell that reminded me of burning plastic. The haze was so thick that headlights cut through it on the streets below. I will never forget it. That day taught me how quickly hatred and dehumanization can turn into unimaginable violence. As a Jew, I understand the danger of ideologies that target people because of who they are. The scourge of radical Islamist terrorism must be confronted with clarity and resolve-just as we must confront antisemitism and every form of violent extremism. Naming that ideology is not an indictment of Islam or Muslims; it is a refusal to ignore those who weaponize faith to justify murder. Twenty-five years later, as terrorism, antisemitism and dehumanizing hatred remain painfully present, the lesson of September 11 still matters: we must defend freedom without surrendering our humanity. We remember those who were murdered, honor those who ran toward danger and remain grateful to everyone who helped our country recover. We owe them nothing less.

100 million Americans have been born since 9/11. That’s nearly 1/3 of our nation’s population. We must teach the next generation the truth of that fateful day. That this was the deadliest act of terrorism in U.S. history when al Qaeda backed Islamic terrorists hijacked commercial airplanes killing 2,977. Thousands of first responders and 9/11 workers have subsequently suffered and died due to 9/11 health related illnesses. Darkness, evil, and hate drove these jihadist terrorists to attack our freedom and who we are as Americans. But what the terrorists didn’t realize was that they would never bring the United States to our knees because Americans will always prevail and rebuild from the ashes. We must teach the tremendous acts of heroism and service of our fellow Americans who ran into the fire to save their fellow countrymen and women. We must strive for the unity we felt on 9/12 with American flags on every block and neighbor helping neighbor simply because they were fellow Americans. Never Forget means NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸
Today’s cover: Hijacking history: Woke teachers offer twisted 9/11 lessons focused on ‘Islamophobia’ — not 2,977 innocents killed trib.al/sOmR6l9

Seeing this reporter’s polite yet firm refusal to let an interviewee substitute the “genocide” fiction for fact makes me realize how lacking this basic level of journalistic integrity typically is. Why isn’t this the standard?

Maybe you can start by calling out the Mayor and the DSA whose actions and rhetoric have put Jewish New Yorkers at risk. And while we are at it, end your disastrous pro-criminal policies that do nothing to keep New Yorkers safe.
What happened at Central Synagogue tonight is appalling. Jewish New Yorkers have every right to worship openly, proudly, and without fear. I’m grateful the suspect is in custody and that no one was seriously injured.

Earlier this evening, an individual disrupted Shabbat services at Central Synagogue in Manhattan. As synagogue security was escorting him out, he struck a member of the congregation, damaged synagogue property, and then spit at and headbutted a member of the security team. An NYPD sergeant working a paid detail at the synagogue immediately stepped in and took the individual into custody. I have spoken with the rabbi of the synagogue, and I’m relieved that no one was seriously injured. Those who were hurt were evaluated at the scene and are doing well. There are no known additional threats at this time, and additional NYPD resources have been deployed to the synagogue. The investigation is ongoing. I understand the sanctity of this space and its meaning for congregants. Central Synagogue is where I grew up. In joy and in sorrow, it has always been a place of comfort and peace. What happened there tonight is deeply painful. A place of worship should never be a crime scene.
