A few years ago, I was a kid from the border with a dream, to work for the company I fell in love with when I was 9 years old. I moved to a huge city with literally ZERO contacts to help me make that dream come true. Y aquí estoy. Keep pushing, keep fighting. TÚ PUEDES.

Pues ahĂ donde ves tiene mucho mĂĄs peso la opiniĂłn de este seĂąor que todos los que demeritan la carrera de Canelo.
Replying to @Canelo
@Canelo is cold. I’ve always been a fan of cinnamon! Looking at his record and you can say what you want, he was taking a lot of fighters 0 from them. Salute champ it was a honor to share the ring with you champ.

Zero hate, but Spurs aren’t close to a top 5 franchise in Mexico.
Spurs not letting Mexico City get a team, that's our territory lol.

Tired, tired bit. There are multiple groups in MX who are eager to jump in today and buy a team. World-class arena. Millions of fans. “Safety” is always used as an excuse with zero stats to support it. Is Mexico City the favorite to land a team? No. Is it a viable option? Yes.
There is absolutely no way a team is ever planting in Mexico City. Travel, safety, and economics make that nearly impossible. You’re telling me you’re going to have guys living in Mexico City 6 months out of the year? Then you’re going to play games at over 7200 feet? Oh and traveling back and forth through there regularly? How this is being used as any kind of leverage is absolutely bonkers.

Has there been some sort of collective amnesia about how FIFA rankings work lately?
New men's FIFA Rankings. USA doesn't budge from 16th, despite winning all 4 games, playing a bunch of teenagers, and crushing the 10th ranked team in the world 3-0.

Much like Betteridge's law of headlines, if someone says "I'm not defending City, but" - you're pretty much guaranteed they're going to defend City right after.
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think. In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards. Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted. City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it. From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system. From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.” If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor. We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?” And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Manchester City were found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges by an independent commission. The comparison made is not in the same ball park to the level of rule breaking Man City have committed. premierleague.com/en/news/472777…

FIFA rankings update: - Mexico failed to win a single friendly this international window, but didn't move from No. 10. - USA won all four friendlies this international window, but #USMNT didn't move from 16th What's the point lol
