If you are educated on womens bodies, you should know that around the 7th week of pregnancy, a female fetus begins developing her lifetime supply of eggs inside her own mother's womb. The child may not be mentally, financially etc ready for children, but her body is.
I think people are uncomfortable with the truth about the female biology. Regardless of whether we as humans like it or not, once a female begins menstruation, her body is ready to conceive children. That makes a lot of heteros uncomfortable.
