One last point - we must move past the concept that sport is, by default, male with women's sport as a "nice to have" addition. Nobody should be content with the status quo (eg total prize money for women being less than 1% of total prize money for men). @EqualityFC

The response to the twerking incident has little to do with misplaced joke. It is a deeper worry that biases and stereotypes have hardened into barriers that stand in the way of women’s football. Pioneers like ⁦@AdaStolsmo⁩ should be celebrated thetimes.co.uk/article/mens-…

Speechless... Ada Hegerberg wins the inaugural Women's Ballon d'Or award (Congratulations Ada) and then gets interviewed by a caveman.

⚽️ “Do you know how to twerk?” 🎾 “Can you give us a twirl?” 🏊🏻‍♀️ “And here’s the man responsible...” 🚴🏻‍♀️ “And he’s thinking, ‘what’s for tea?’” 🥉 “Wife of American footballer wins bronze...” We’ve been here so many times. When will sport learn to respect women? 🙄🤦‍♀️

It’s almost like they don’t want a return on their investment. Market games the right way and you will get the attendances they deserve. Crazy to seemingly just sit back and hope the growth will come by default 👉A missed opportunity for Man Utd women inews.co.uk/?p=188411
Manchester United failed to mention their women's team once on social media this weekend

Manchester United failed to mention their women's team once on social media this weekend

It didn’t go unnoticed by supporters of Manchester United’s women’s team. A self-styled No 1 fan page tweeted: “Good job we’re here, the official account with ZERO updates during the first half.”
