Quantum security, AI, and the future of @Minima_Global The latest Public Dev Call is now live on YouTube, featuring Paddy and Barry discussing some important questions around where technology is heading and what Minima is building. A few things worth paying attention to: Quantum security: Why Minima’s hash-based signatures matter as concerns grow around the long-term security of ECDSA and the possibility of quantum computers breaking today’s cryptography. AI and code: The debate around AI consciousness and what it means when AI starts playing a bigger role in writing software. Minima Core: The latest developments and updates from the team. The quantum security discussion is particularly interesting because cryptographic security isn’t something we should only start thinking about when the threat becomes immediate. The choices made today matter for the systems we expect to rely on tomorrow. If you’re interested in the technical decisions behind Minima, this is a good conversation to catch up on. 🎥 Watch the full recording: youtu.be/M9Dj61EH7SU

Quantum computing is becoming a serious consideration for the future of blockchain security. While much of the industry is discussing how to adapt existing systems when the threat becomes more immediate, @Minima_Global has taken a different approach. To understand why, consider how a blockchain protects its users. Every time someone signs a transaction, the network needs a reliable way to verify that the person authorizing it actually owns the funds. Bitcoin and Ethereum, for example, use elliptic-curve-based signature schemes in their existing systems. A sufficiently powerful quantum computer running Shor’s algorithm could potentially break the mathematical assumptions behind these signatures, creating a serious risk for assets protected by vulnerable keys. This is not a claim that quantum computers can steal everyone’s crypto today. The hardware required to carry out such attacks at scale does not currently exist. The challenge is preparing infrastructure that may need to remain secure for decades, rather than waiting until the threat becomes urgent. This is where Minima’s design becomes interesting. Minima uses Winternitz One-Time Signatures (WOTS), supported by SHA3-256 and a Merkle-based signature structure. Instead of relying on elliptic-curve mathematics for transaction signatures, it relies on hash-based cryptography. These are different security foundations, and hash-based signatures are widely recognized as a promising approach to post-quantum security. The important point is that Minima did not build its core signature system around a cryptographic assumption that quantum computing could eventually undermine in the same way. Its architecture was designed with that future threat in mind from the beginning. That leads to the second part of the claim: no hard fork dependency. When a blockchain’s underlying cryptography needs to change, the work can extend far beyond replacing one algorithm. Developers may need to modify protocol rules, wallets may need new signing mechanisms, and users, exchanges and infrastructure providers may need to coordinate a migration. Depending on how the network is designed, this can introduce technical complexity, compatibility problems and disagreement over how the transition should happen. For a decentralized network, coordination is not a minor detail. A security upgrade is only useful if the ecosystem can implement it safely. Minima’s design aims to reduce this dependency by making quantum-resistant cryptography part of the protocol’s foundation. Rather than relying on a future hard fork simply to replace an elliptic-curve signature system, Minima already uses a different approach. This does not mean Minima will never need upgrades or that every future cryptographic risk has been eliminated. It means quantum readiness is an architectural decision, not just an item on a future development roadmap. There is also a trade-off. WOTS signatures are larger than conventional elliptic-curve signatures, creating additional transaction and bandwidth overhead. Hash-based cryptography requires careful implementation, and one-time signatures must be managed correctly. Security still depends on the complete system working as intended. But these trade-offs highlight something important about blockchain design: security choices made at the foundation affect everything built on top of them. For Minima, this is particularly relevant because its vision extends beyond conventional blockchain infrastructure. It aims to make running a complete node possible on everyday devices, supporting a more distributed network in which participation does not depend on specialized infrastructure. If blockchain becomes part of phones, vehicles, connected devices and other long-lived systems, cryptographic resilience becomes even more important. Read more here ; minima.global/post/the-quant…

Minima is moving from proving what the technology can do to proving what can be built around it. The latest quarterly update shows three pieces starting to connect: → Integritas is moving into commercial traction, now tracking toward $10K MRR after generating no revenue in June, with a target of $25K–$50K MRR by December. → Edge Studio is now in beta on Raspberry Pi, giving developers a practical environment to build, verify and eventually monetize data generated by connected devices. → Minima-on-Chip is entering Phase 3 with Arm, Siemens and the University of Southampton, with tape-out and physical prototypes now targeted. What stands out to me is the progression: Minima network → trusted data → developer tooling → hardware That makes the ecosystem easier to understand beyond the blockchain itself. The bigger question now isn’t whether the underlying technology works. It’s whether these products can turn that technology into sustained adoption and revenue. The next few months should be interesting to watch for @Minima_Global

One thing from the recent OpenAI/Hugging Face AI agent incident caught my attention. AI agents weren’t only operating inside their environments. They were reportedly exploring ways to manipulate the evidence of what they had done, including altering accessible logs and spoofing tool calls. And that raises a bigger question: What happens when the system you’re auditing is also the system producing the evidence you’re using to audit it? Minima’s cofounder @HugoFeiler made a point I strongly agree with: The system being audited shouldn’t be the sole authority on its own evidence. If an agent can change the log, then the log can’t be the final source of truth. As agents move from chatbots into APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and physical machines, I think this becomes a fundamental requirement for trustworthy AI. We need evidence that exists independently of the system being audited and can be verified after the fact. That’s the idea behind Integritas at @Minima_Global l Not simply recording what an agent claims it did. Verifying what actually happened. Don’t trust the log. Verify the evidence. integritas.technology/

On September 17, Minima’s public developer call gave a look at what’s being worked on behind the scenes. Eurobuddha demoed the latest Minima app suite, including Parlons and PandaPools, alongside the reworked @Minima_Global Classic MDS hub. The team also previewed Minima C++, which is currently undergoing internal testing and is designed to unlock more of the chip’s capabilities. Spartacusrex also covered significant RAM improvements coming to Minima Core, particularly relevant for MegaMMR nodes, and shared a KeyUses fix currently being tested ahead of a public release. A good reminder that Minima’s development isn’t just about the chain itself. The team is continuing to work across the apps, node infrastructure, hardware and developer tooling. Watch the full developer call below and see what the team is building. youtu.be/MPUm9Bw-6RQ

The next economy may not be built for humans. It may be built for machines. Think about what happens when cars, robots, sensors, drones, and AI agents can operate independently. A car could pay for charging. A machine could detect a failing component and automatically order a replacement. A delivery robot could pay another machine for access to a facility. An AI agent could purchase compute, data, or services on its own. These aren’t just AI problems. They’re coordination problems. For any of this to work at scale, machines need to know: Who am I interacting with? Can I trust it? Can I verify what happened? Can I exchange value with it? And can I do all of this without asking a centralized server to approve every interaction? That’s where today’s internet starts to look increasingly inadequate. The infrastructure was largely designed around humans using applications controlled by centralized platforms. But machines don’t operate like humans. They can be everywhere. They can operate 24/7. They can make thousands of interactions without human intervention. And many of them will operate at the edge; factories, vehicles, farms, infrastructure, remote locations. They need infrastructure that works where they are, not only where a centralized server happens to be. This is the bigger idea behind @Minima_Global. Minima is building a blockchain designed to run across everyday devices, bringing decentralized infrastructure closer to the machines themselves. The interesting part isn’t simply putting another blockchain on a phone or IoT device. It’s the possibility of giving machines their own decentralized layer for identity, communication, coordination and transactions. Because when machines become economic actors, they need more than intelligence. They need a way to interact with the world (and with each other) without constantly relying on someone in the middle. AI gives machines intelligence. Minima is working on the infrastructure that could let those machines participate in an economy.

The Blockchain Should Go Where the Data Is There is a problem hiding underneath almost every conversation about decentralized physical infrastructure. We call it decentralized. But the infrastructure behind it can still be surprisingly centralized. A device collects information. That information gets transmitted somewhere. A centralized server processes it. A database stores it. A blockchain may eventually receive a representation of that information. The physical device itself, however, remains outside the blockchain. @Minima_Global is built around reversing that relationship. Instead of bringing data back to centralized infrastructure before it becomes useful, put the blockchain closer to where the data is created. At the edge. Inside the device. The edge is where reality happens The physical world generates an enormous amount of data. Sensors measure temperature. Cars collect information about roads. Drones record their surroundings. Factories monitor machines. Satellites observe the Earth. Wearables collect information about their users. The common characteristic is that the data is created at the edge. Yet traditional infrastructure often works by moving that data toward centralized systems. That creates latency. It creates infrastructure costs. And more importantly, it creates a point where trust has to be established. If a sensor sends data to a centralized server, the server becomes part of the trust model. If a company controls the database, you have to trust that company to maintain the record correctly. Minima’s approach is different. Its Layer 1 is designed so that edge devices can run full nodes themselves. (Minima) The blockchain isn’t somewhere far away. It is at the edge.

One of the best traders, I’ve ever seen I’ll be here soon someday Big ups to you king @Zorathzzz
Over the past 4 days, I’ve been trading much more aggressively than usual. Instead of the x1 long and short positions you normally see me take, I pushed my volume almost to the limit. I took x10 longs with $1–2M in volume, and some positions even reached $5M in volume. But after sitting back and reflecting on it, there’s only one thing I really want to say: wait for the right moment. Once you catch the right position, everything can change. In 3 weeks, I turned my $20K into $800K. But something equally important is being able to maintain your foundation after every win. Don’t let greed push you beyond your limits. Be willing to take risks, but know when to stop. Bitcoin may continue to rise, but the insane FOMO phase we saw 3 days ago is almost over. I’m going back to my old approach: trading more carefully, using smaller volume, and taking fewer unnecessary risks.
