Trump never criticizes these Putin attacks.
Another Russian ballistic missile attack came in several waves overnight, and once again, there was no early warning from our partners. They again targeted energy facilities and infrastructure, but a medical clinic, a school, a metro station, and ordinary residential buildings were also damaged. In total, the Russians launched 16 ballistic missiles in a deliberate attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The Russians also launched more than 200 drones of various types, including jet-powered “shaheds,” with attacks spanning from the Kharkiv and Dnipro regions to the Volyn, Rivne, and Odesa regions. Sadly, there are casualties. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Those who were injured are receiving assistance. Overnight and this morning, Russia attacked energy facilities in the Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Odesa, and Rivne regions. In this one night alone, more than 10 energy infrastructure facilities were damaged, and the lights went out for at least 550,000 families. Repair crews are working at the sites.
Ukraine never wanted this war, and we have welcomed literally EVERY attempt by our partners to bring this war to a dignified end. We have responded positively to EVERY ceasefire proposal. Russia's response, time and again, has been ballistic missiles, “shaheds,” and killings. Putin not only doesn't want to end this war – he doesn't even want to take any steps toward de-escalation. EVERY ONE of our partners has experienced this firsthand when they heard Russia's refusals. And it is crucial to call things what they are. To call the aggressor an aggressor and help Ukraine defend lives. When deliveries of missiles for Ukraine's air defense are blocked while Russia is granted relief or delays in sanctions, this is, unfortunately, a denial of reality on the part of our partners. The reality is that the war continues, and it continues solely because of Russian strikes and Russia's desire to drag this war out. I thank everyone who recognizes this reality and helps Ukraine!

In the 60s and 70s we became a debtor nation, forcing others to buy our bonds. Then we decided we want to fight wars but didn’t want to pay for them. Then we stripped all the regs off banks because “the market knows best” and they tanked the fucking thing, multiple times.

Replying to @Republicans
President Trump and Republicans delivered the LARGEST DEFICIT in American history to give billionaires their LARGEST TAX CUT in American history.
In May, Judge Reyes directed the administration to give notice before cutting more than 10 trees, specifically to avoid irreversible steps. Formal notice of this large removal (hundreds of trees; ~430 already down, per testimony) arrived only at 4:55 p.m. Friday, after earlier internal decisions/authorizations, and work started the next morning. Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good.
I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

This. It has always been this. A sitting American president did this. And because he did this, he should have been convicted and put behind bars. And the fact that we never held him accountable for these crimes will forever stain this country. And we may never recover from it.👇

This is terrible news for the service academies…a real gut punch, and it will have lasting negative effects on the academies.

The move is intended to refocus military academies on “warfighter education,” Hegseth said in a memo obtained by @realDailyWire.

This is actually crazy. For years, we've prioritized scholarships and loans that enable students to choose low paying public service careers like teaching, social work, religious ministries, etc.
Future corporate execs and lawyers aren't the ones who need subsidized loans!
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/NmmAzhf

This is so fucking wrong. He does not have the legal authority to build the ballroom. But here’s the Supreme Court once again allowing the president of the United States to be a lawless dictator.
JUST IN: The Supreme Court allows Trump to move forward with construction of a White House ballroom.
The ruling was 5-4, with Chief Justice John Roberts and the court’s three liberals dissenting.
“Construction of the ballroom has proceeded apace for the better part of a year. That construction is likely unlawful,” Roberts wrote.
