I've been to every continent, but Rwanda's homegrown solutions, such as Umushyikirano, are consistently the finest. Today, I loved H.E Paul Kagame's comment to @DrSenait's view regarding certain leaders who may delay making decisions and use the 'fear to fail or make mistakes' as an excuse, stating that leaders should instead dread the consequences of doing nothing/delaying things. All countries deserve a national dialogue like Umushyikirano, in which leaders are held accountable for their acts and citizens have the opportunity to ask and get responses from their leaders. #Umushyikirano2024 #RwOT 🇷🇼

Every so often, life gives you a moment to pause and appreciate just how far the journey has taken you. Receiving my residency renewal in Rwanda is one of those moments. Beyond the significance of the renewal itself, it has given me an opportunity to reflect on what this country has come to mean to me, the opportunities it has opened up and the people who have made the journey so rewarding. A special thank you to @Rwandamigration for the excellent service, professionalism and efficiency throughout the process. It is encouraging to experience public services delivered with such care, and I am genuinely grateful for the welcome and continued opportunity to make Rwanda home. Since arriving in Kigali for CHOGM in 2022, Rwanda has become much more than a place to live and work. It has become a place where I can build, learn, form meaningful partnerships and contribute to something bigger than myself. Through Green Horizon Ventures, I have had the privilege of working alongside people who believe in the potential of Rwanda’s young people, the importance of protecting our natural environment and the power of turning good ideas into tangible impact. From advancing green growth and entrepreneurship to the inspiration of Kwita Izina, I continue to appreciate the ambition, environmental stewardship and sense of possibility that make Rwanda such a special place. The opportunity to build a life in another country is never something I take for granted. It comes with a responsibility to contribute, to listen, to build lasting relationships and to ensure that the work we do creates value for the communities around us. Thank you, Rwanda, for the opportunity to call this country home and to be part of its continuing journey. I look forward to the work, partnerships and possibilities that lie ahead.
