Excited to share our latest publication on volatile-mediated interactions between plants and insect herbivores, pollinators, and natural enemies!! Here, we review the literature on volatile multifunctionality and propose new ideas! doi.org/10.1093/ee/nvaf108

Last week, I was invited to share my postdoctoral research at the @UMDEntomology Department Retreat. We are finding that neighboring tree diversity impacts leaf phenotypic expression and induces trade-offs against different consumers. More coming soon!!

Check out our recent publication on plant defense strategies!! We found that plants favor tolerance against belowground root-feeders compared to aboveground insect herbivores and much more!! @HelmsLab @JackWasTweeting doi.org/10.1016/j.baae.2025.…

I really enjoyed sharing my research with folks at UMD during the Department of Entomology weekly seminar series! Great to be back in Maryland and diving into a new study system! 🐛🌳
.@EntoThompson is Bug-ack @UofMaryland sharing findings from her doctoral research - how cucurbit plants handle herbivory. A postdoc now, she is excited to continue investigations into insect communities, branching out into a new study system - trees!🐛🌳go.umd.edu/1xvf

Excited to share recently published work from my dissertation comparing foliar and root herbivore-induced plant volatiles!! Lots of intriguing patterns emerged, such as stronger volatile induction aboveground than belowground...Check it out!! @HelmsLab doi.org/10.1111/plb.13709
