Tesco are making £4bn a year in profit. About 50% of their staff are on Universal Credit. Why don't we crackdown on this unneeded benefit for billionaires?

He has in fact claimed over £160,000 in expenses
Nigel hasn’t claimed any expenses from the public purse, no wonder Labour MP Leeches hate him!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Nigel Farage has claimed more than £160,000 in MP expenses including staffing, travel, and office costs from public funds. theipsa.org.uk/mp-staffing-bu… deadlinenews.co.uk/2026/07/07/doe…

"Water companies suffer a shortage of responsibility." The Times @thetimes hits the nail straight on the head. Until we hold water company directors and executives personally and directly responsible nothing is going to change. Time some of these people went to jail. The law already allows for it, how come it's never happened? Environment Agency, got an answer? thetimes.com/comment/the-tim…

Feargal Sharkey, "Water companies... The fines don't work, it's time we actually started upholding the law, and sending some of these executives and directors to jail" Krishnan Guru-Murthy, "You think we should put them in jail?" Awful election coverage from @BBCNews & @BBCWalesNews Apparently journalist analysis is worth more screen time than the factual results of area counts live. But then journalists think themselves above everyone else @BBCRosAtkins @KirstyWark @bbclaurak @CliveMyrieBBC

And just like that, the very wealthiest party in the U.K. backed by foreign billionaires is supported by the very poorest members of society who dislike foreigners. You couldn’t make this shit up.

The CEO of South East Water has resigned. Now it's time for Ofwat to revoke the company's operating licence.
South East Water's CEO David Hinton has resigned. He feels his position "has become an increasing distraction" for the firm. Comes after MPs declared no confidence in the company's leadership. Non-executive chair Chris Train resigned in April after their scathing report.

"Bathing sites ‘will be abandoned to sewage’ under Labour plans." I have checked again this morning, of the 14 stretches of river designated as bathing spots 12 are carrying "Do not swim" advisories. Oh and by the way any other stretch of river outside the 14 spots that are designated aren't even tested. You have been warned. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/03…

I have to admit it I never thought I'd find myself saying this but govt's response to all of this stuff is even more wishy-washy than the last lot. 👇
Defra's response to our report on the implementation of laws relating to protected sites for nature will not deliver the urgent step-change needed to meet environmental targets and commitments - read our statement here bit.ly/4bgpTGF

While Sir James was arrogant and conceited don't forget his board who let him away with it. The then chair, Emma Howard Boyd, now chair of @Clientearth, who'd have guessed it. All in it together.
Did you know that Sir James Bevan, who was the chief of the Environment Agency and allowed all the privatised water companies to pollute our rivers & seas without consequence, is now a non-executive director of Dwr Cymru (Welsh Water)? @DwrCymru
