Some were trying to encourage their dogs to do their business quickly so that they didn’t get soaked. However, as he passed an alleyway, the Time Lord paused, his keen ears picking up on a different sound. A sad sound. Someone was crying, in the shadows. The Doctor turned on —

his heels and headed towards the sound, walking slowly, approaching with caution. “Hello? Is someone there? Are you okay?” He asks, keeping his voice soft and friendly. Soon, he sees a woman, sitting against a wall, her head buried in her arms, body shaking slightly as she cried.
