“He could have solved world hunger instead of building a flying car” My brother in Christ, In 2021 the UN claimed they could solve world hunger with $6 Billion. Elon offered them the $6 Billion if they were transparent with where the funds were going. The UN never took his offer.

If your first question is "What's the point?" then you will never understand the answer. Because this IS the point. Some engineers felt like making a car with jump jets. So they did. Non-player characters do stuff so they can eat. Player characters eat so they can do stuff.

"America is a creedal nation!" "Okay, can we test people to see if they believe in the creed before letting them in?" "No, that's racist." "Then can we kick them out if they don't believe in the creed?" "No, that's denying them due process and their constitutional rights." "Can I see a copy of this creed?" "Nope, no one can agree on exactly what it is. We think it has something to do with the declaration of independence, though." "Okay, so what you're saying is that this creed defines the nation, but it isn't defined, that it forms the basis of the law, but has no effect on the law, that we owe allegiance to it, but that allegiance cannot be tested or demanded?" "Yep!" "So the creed could be anything, couldn't it? It could be 'horsies are pretty', or 'eat at Joe's', and it wouldn't make the slightest difference?" "I suppose so. I never really thought about it. What's important is that judges decide who is an American, and what America's future will be." "Say, aren't you a judge?" "Yes, what's your point?"
Justice Neil Gorsuch: “We’re a creedal nation. What unites us is not a religion, not a race, it’s a belief in those ideas in the Declaration of Independence.”

Elon Musk and Paul Graham say the most qualified person should get the job. I agree. 100%. But that assumes employers prefer H-1B workers because they’re more qualified. There are other possible incentives. What if the H-1B worker is cheaper? Not because every H-1B worker earns less, but because a worker whose ability to remain in the country depends on maintaining qualifying employment may have very different bargaining power. Imagine two equally qualified engineers. One can quit tomorrow and work anywhere. The other needs to maintain qualifying immigration status to remain in the country. Which employee is more likely to tell the boss: “No, I’m not working this weekend.” “I want a 20% raise.” “I’m leaving for your competitor.” “I’m reporting this.” “I’m not doing that.” Which worker might tolerate lower pay, longer hours, an undesirable assignment or worse treatment because the consequences of losing the job extend far beyond losing a paycheck? That’s an enormous difference in bargaining power. And here’s the question that gets lost in the “most qualified” argument: What happens when BOTH candidates are equally qualified? Or even similarly qualified? An American and an H-1B worker can both be perfectly capable of doing the job. Now the employer isn’t choosing between “qualified” and “unqualified.” They’re choosing between two qualified people. So what else might influence the decision? Which one costs less? Which one is less likely to quit? Which one is more likely to accept longer hours? Which one is less likely to demand a large raise? Which one is more willing to relocate or accept an undesirable assignment? Which one can more easily walk away? And this question extends beyond H-1B. Think about OPT. If an American graduate and an international graduate on OPT are similarly qualified, what other incentives influence the employer’s decision? Compensation? Retention? Work hours? Willingness to relocate? Future sponsorship? How easily each worker can walk away? Lower employment taxes? None of this means every H-1B or OPT worker is exploited, or that every employer is exploiting foreign workers. But it DOES mean an employer can have economic reasons to prefer a visa-dependent worker that have absolutely nothing to do with that worker being “more qualified.” So before we assume an employer chose an H-1B worker because they were simply “more qualified,” we should ask: More qualified? Or more economically dependent on the employer? Those are two very different reasons to hire someone.

Feminism is nothing but the bottom level of maturity for women. It is the idea that women should lead. Everyone is familiar with men's flaws. Very few are familiar with women's. Young or stupid men overestimate their strength, power, competence, and status. They say "I could kick that guy's ass" when there's no chance in hell, or "I would never fuck that girl, she has pointy elbows" when there's no way she would ever give him a shot. The idea is "my dick is so big! I can dominate anything! I have power!" But nobody talks about the female equivalent. We pretend there isn't one! Women are just nicer and smarter and never cause any trouble! 😅 Actually though, the opposite of "my male energy is so big" is "my female energy is so big." Of course it is. So what does that look like? Well, male energy is active and takes initiative. "I'm going to build something! I'm going to destroy something! Listen to me speak!" So female energy would have to be the opposite. It is passive and it responds to initiative. "I like / do not like what you built! I'm happy / angry you destroyed that! I'm impressed / repulsed by what you said!" Immature masculine behavior doesn't know its limits. Immature men jump their bikes over trains and get smashed to pulp. They make claims they can't back up. Mature masculine, on the other hand, knows exactly what it can do and where and when and how, and makes no promises otherwise. It also seeks to become more competent. More powerful. Instead of just... you know... SAYING so. So then what would immature feminine behavior be? Copied from above: "I like / do not like what you built! I'm happy / angry you destroyed that! I'm impressed / repulsed by what you did!" In other words, "my approval matters because my vagina is so important. All the powerful men move mountains for me! EVERYONE WANTS ME SO BAD!" Do you see how this is the female mirror image of "my dick is so big, I can do anything?" "Everyone wants my vagina, so I can demand anything." Now you understand why female comedians never shut up about their vaginas, and why Zoomer tiktok feminists call everyone they don't like an "incel" or a "pick me." Those words mean "no vagina for you!" and "you're so unwanted, you have to sell your vagina!" The female version of power is based on BEING WANTED, and then SELECTING who they prefer. They leverage this selection to pressure men to obey them. "Incel" = "you are not selected because you did not obey!" Just like the male version of power is immature when it doesn't know its limits, the female version of power is immature when it doesn't know how desirable it is. "I'm a 10!" "We're all 10s!" This is why the mature masculine leads the mature feminine, but the immature masculine is led by the immature feminine. This is also why everything is falling apart. Mature masculine: "This is what I can do. Here is the proof. Do you like it?" Mature feminine: "Yes I do, show me more." / "No thank you." But immature men cannot lead, and immature women will not be led. Immature masculine: "I'm so strong and cool! I can do anything!" Immature feminine: "Ew, no you can't! Incel! Icky! No one can do enough for me! I'm a 10!" This results in hatred and chaos between the sexes. So then what happens if both men and women refuse to grow up? Women begin to lead, of course. Immature feminine: "I'm a 10! I'm perfect! Everyone has to do what I say and be what I want!" Immature masculine: "Of course you are a 10, m'lady! I have all the opinions you say to have! I hate all those icky incels and misogynists, too! PUNCH A NAZI!" [never punches any nazis] ...But women cannot lead. They cannot build or destroy. They cannot provide. They cannot protect. There has never been an all woman army. There has never been an all woman large business. An all woman government. Any time this has been tried, they never leave the stone age, or return to it. This is what the maturity crisis means. And feminism caused it.

If you don’t have a skill that’s above average, you’ll be treated as average and paid like it. Learn something valuable and get better at that one thing than everyone around you. That’s how you win.

Ground beef is expensive because the U.S. cattle herd is the smallest it has been in roughly 75 years. Why is the herd so small? The shortage developed during the Biden administration as years of drought forced ranchers to cull cows, while high feed and input costs made matters worse. The cattle cycle takes years to reverse. And no, cattle don’t magically appear because people are angry about grocery prices. Cattle take 18–24 months just to reach slaughter weight. Rebuilding the breeding herd takes even longer. So what did Trump do? He announced a 90-day deal allowing up to 300,000 metric tons of ground beef into the U.S. with no out-of-quota tariffs and a commitment to sell it 25% BELOW current market prices. The goal? Give working families some relief at the grocery store NOW while American ranchers rebuild the herd. A temporary increase in supply to help lower the price of one of the most expensive grocery staples without permanently undercutting U.S. cattle producers. That’s called a practical solution. But sure, keep complaining about literally everything. God forbid anyone acknowledge a concrete step that could actually LOWER food prices. A simple “thank you” would do. Good grief.

Smart people consider the consequences - and are naturally more afraid. Dumb people are brave through ignorance. The rarest combination is intelligence and bravery. These men are ALWAYS leaders.

the real reason you’re tired all the time: it’s not your workload. it’s your open loops. the text you haven’t answered. the apology you owe. the decision you’re avoiding. the conversation you keep postponing. these run in the background of your mind all day, draining your battery. close your loops. watch your energy return. mental clutter is more exhausting than physical work ever will be.

The FBI lied about the stats on civilians stopping shooters in an attempt to push propaganda designed to remove the 2A. Citizens have stopped 52.5% of shooters in non-gun free zones and 36% in gun free zones. The FBI claimed it was only 3.7%

My home team is so awesome
🚨PRIDE MONTH🚨 The Texas Rangers are the ONLY MLB team not acknowledging “Pride Month.” The Rangers are again not hosting an LGBT night event. Instead, on June 18, they will be hosting a Faith and Family Night. According to their website, the event will feature “personal testimonies from Rangers players Wyatt Langford, Josh Jung, Cody Bradford, Jacob Latz, Jalen Beeks, and others, sharing how faith impacts their lives both on and off the field.”
