Today @kapo_or will be presenting his dissertation proposal which will highlight the difference between computer science students who secure internships and those who do not.
He aims to decrease barriers and increase student competitiveness for internships and full-time CS jobs.
Concerns about the low number (40%) of CS students participating in internships, led @kapo_or to explore the processes students engage in to get internships and the barriers that were stopping them from participating. @UFCISE @UF_Eng_Ed
During @kapo_or’s dissertation proposal he will discuss the factors that contribute to whether or not a CS student will participate in an internship.
