Ages 30–35: Know yourself, protect your peace, and work toward your dreams. By now you should know who you are. Not perfectly, not completely, but you should have a solid understanding of what makes you tick, what your values are, what you need to feel good, what drains you. You should know your boundaries, and you should be willing to enforce them. You should know who you are and like that person enough to protect them. This is when you stop saying yes to things that don’t serve you. You stop spending time with people who make you feel bad just because you feel obligated. You stop accepting less than you deserve from romantic partners, from jobs, from friendships. You stop trying to be everything to everyone, and you focus on being good to the people who actually matter.Protect your peace like it’s the most valuable thing you have, because it is. Your peace of mind, your emotional stability, your mental health. These things are more important than anyone’s approval or anyone’s comfort. If someone is consistently making you feel anxious or small or wrong, you stop spending time with them. If a job is destroying you, you leave it. If a relationship is one-sided, you end it. You should have people around you who give you peace. People who make you feel good about yourself. People who show up for you. People who get you. These might be a small number of people, but they should be quality over quantity. Your circle should be people who bring out the best in you, not people who drain you or make you doubt yourself. By this age, you should be working toward your dreams, not just thinking about them or planning them. You should be actively building something, creating something, pursuing something that feels meaningful to you. Maybe you’re further along than you thought you’d be; maybe you’re still in the early stages, but you should be moving in a direction that feels right. And you should be managing your money consciously. Not perfectly, but intentionally. You should know how much you need to live, what your expenses are, what you’re saving for, what you’re working toward financially. You should be thinking about your future in practical terms, not just hoping things will work out. You’ve spent the last decade figuring out who you are, what you want, what makes you happy, what makes you miserable. You’ve tried things, restarted, explored, experimented. You’ve learned from your mistakes. You’ve built some foundation, some skills, some understanding of how the world works and how you work within it. Now it’s time to put all of that together. To use what you’ve learned about yourself to make deliberate choices about who you spend time with, what work you do, how you spend your money, what you’re building toward. To protect the peace you’ve worked so hard to find. To invest in the dreams that actually matter to you, not the dreams that look good from the outside. By 35, you should know yourself. That’s the real accomplishment. Not a perfect career, a perfect relationship, or a perfect life, but a real understanding of who you are and what you need to feel good. Everything else builds from there. This is what I personally think you should actually accomplish by age 30. Not a perfect career, not a perfect relationship, not a house or a car or all the things society says you need to have figured out. Just a real understanding of who you are, some ability to take care of yourself, some money saved, some sense of direction, and people around you who make you feel good. That’s the foundation. Everything else builds from there. Society wants you to believe that by 30 you should have everything locked in place, that if you don’t have the job and the partner and the apartment and the success by now, you’ve failed somehow. But that’s not how human development actually works. That’s not how life actually works.Real growth takes time. Real understanding of who you are takes trial and error. Real happiness comes from knowing yourself well enough to make choices based on what you actually want, not based on what you think you should want.Your teenage years aren’t supposed to be about achievement; they’re supposed to be about learning how to connect. Your 20s aren’t supposed to be about settling down; they’re supposed to be about exploring, making mistakes, and figuring things out. Your late 20s are supposed to be about starting to work on what actually matters to you, even if you have to restart over and over. And by 30, you should have enough self-knowledge and peace to move forward consciously. If you’re 28 and you feel behind because you don’t have what everyone else has by now, this is for you. You’re not behind. You’re just on your own timeline, doing your own thing, building something that actually makes sense for your life instead of something that looks good on paper. Stop comparing yourself to people who started earlier, had more advantages, or made different choices. Stop trying to cram a lifetime of achievement into 30 years. Stop sacrificing your peace and your well-being to meet expectations that were never realistic in the first place. You have time. You have more than enough time to figure out who you are, what you want, and how to build a life that feels good. And that’s what actually matters. We held a strategic brainstorming session in Abuja with fellow members of the ADC Youth Coalition comprising credible youth leaders and 2027 House of Representatives/Assembly aspirants aligned with the camps of Peter Obi, Kwankwaso, Atiku, Amaechi, and El-Rufai. We are united by a clear conviction: the time has come for young people to take the mantle of leadership. We are not waiting to be invited we are ready to build the table and lead the charge. #EtsakoMustShine

Muslims thought accusing Trump of blasphemy would mobilize the Christians against Trump. But Christians are telling them Jesus Christ would fight his battle by himself. 😂
